2014 RX 350 passenger heat issue
Struggling with no heat on passenger side.
1) If I turn the air circ control to inside recirc only, I can get heat, but then my windows fog up. I had it analyzed by a former Lexus mechanic and a code of “B1441 Air Mix Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit, Passenger side.” Its -26 o/s now so heat is certainly required
Talked to local Lexus dealer(s) and they say they can’t interpret this code. Really? How then does one order the correct servo? Apparently some can be changed without removing the dash cap and some require the dash cap removal
2) When we start the vehicle now we also have a 30 sec +/- delay in start of the fan and climate system. Is this affiliated with the Servo issue?

1 I cannot answer but refer you to some prior similar threads on this issue one of which appears on the main page not far below this thread.
2 The 30 second delay is normal
I suspect the Lexus dealer is lying to you because they want you to come in and pay them for diagnostics and because it is not enough data to tell exactly what is broken. I did Google search and found Lexus code B1441 in seconds. Usually a code is just the starting point for further hands on diagnostics and analysis. They don't just replace parts based on a code alone as the code is a symptom and not necessarily the cause of the problem. In short, someone needs to inspect your RX to tell exactly which damper servo etc to replace or what else is wrong. Sorry, I know that is not the answer you were hoping for. You may just have to go to the dealer or persuade your former Lexus mechanic friend to do more work on your RX.

What Does the B1441 Lexus Code Mean?
The Air Mix Damper Servo sends pulse signals to indicate the damper position to the air conditioning amplifier. The Air Conditioning Amplifier activates the motor (normal or reverse) based on these signals to move the air mix damper (passenger seat) to the appropriate position. This adjusts the amount of air passing through the heater core after passing the evaporator and controls the temperature of the blown air.Thread
