Hello All
I have a problem and hope someone can help.
I just replaced my battery on my 2010 RX350, it starts up ok now but the battery light is on which I'm sure I can remove once I reprogram the computer with a scan tool but after a few minutes the power steering light comes on, nav screen goes black and I can't do anything.
Is there something I'm forgetting to do? Or will the scan tool fix this issue?
Please help....need to work in the morning lol

Agreed. No scan tool is required to replace the battery in these conventional RX models until the 2016 or 2017 model year. Might be time for you to have your alternator refurbished. Go get it checked out.

Yes you are right, it's 3rd gen. I was actually talking to my wife about her car when I was writing my thread so wrote the wrong thing.
I'm just not sure why the alternator would be the problem when I didn't have the issue before I replaced the battery. Everything was working fine until we got -20 degrees and my battery died. Never had to do an alternator after replacing a battery. Not saying it doesn't need one though

Look at the simple solution before anything else. Try charging the battery first. Sometimes new batteries sit in the store a long time and lose a lot of charge before being sold. Then you install it and only drive a little, not enough to charge it and then the temperature drops to minus 20 and now your new battery is dead. You also need to have the shop that sold it to you test it and your charging system.
