Lightbulb Radio question

2010 RX 350, radio randomly bounces from FM to AM to SAT. Our service guy suggested a firmware or software update to fix that, but I called Lexus and also our local dealer, and these don't exist for the 2010 model any longer. This problem happens often enough to be annoying, but not often enough to pour many dollars into the fix. Anyone found any way other than replacing the unit to fix this problem on a 2010 model?

The know how and availability of parts as well as labor cost, making repairs a thing of the past.

Most cost effective way is to replace the offending unit. New might be cost prohibitive, but a used unit from a recycler would be the way to go. LKQ is one of such companies.

The "Mode" button on the steering wheel changes the audio between all those sources.
Is your Mode button stuck, sticky soda spill, physically jammed?

I have this issue on mine too. It also switches FM stations sometimes when it is cold.

I had this issue with my Camry. The mode button was just a bit flaky. Pressing it a few times usually fixed it for a while.

I would carefully spray a small amount of electrical contact cleaner into those control buttons. That may resolve the issue.
