My 2020 CPO came with carpet rear and rubber storm mats for the front. I ordered a new set of carpet from dealer and they are not
the same as the rear. The package does say RX but the new mats have a much coarser carpet. The original rear mats are close to cut pile. The new rears are not close to the same shape and really do not fit as well. And all four of the new mats have white stitching around the edge. Wondering what I really got - especially with the different patterns for rear. The front fit fine so I am assuming I got a 2020 set

 

Are the words Lexus RX embroidered into the carpets?

 

Yes on the front and I bought them in person from my local dealer. The other option is that the rear mats that came with the CPO are not
original but they fit a lot better than the new ones. Pretty sure the new ones are not for a different generation RX since the locks on the front
fit perfectly. It's just that the older rear ones are a different type of carpet and fit correctly. I am going to peek into one of the dealer loaners the next time I am there

Various accessories and equipment for a given model of RX can change during and after a production run. Some new RX's came with Michelin tires and some with Bridgestone. Other items such as batteries, windshield wipers, and fasteners can come from different suppliers depending on availability. When purchasing floor mats you have to see them first in order to know exactly what you are getting. Seems like they’re custom.. or Canadian spec’d mats?

 

I had all weather Lexus mats and bought the ones in your pic with the Lexus RX monogram. I really like these. They are a shorter pile and much easier to clean than the thicker carpet or the all weather mats. They do not show dirt. I did take them out after a year and scrub them with a brush and oxyclean. Hosed off and dried in 12 hours.

 

. My 2022F sport came with carpet mats and they are a very coarse weave carpet with a binding around the edges. I am very pleased with the durability of them. They don’t get all frizzy looking like plush carpet does. Easy to vacuum too.

 

I tend to agree that the course carpet is a better choice. Cleaned it over the weekend and it seems like it will be more durable. My main issue is the total difference in pattern of the rears. the older rears fit very well. The newer ones don't
