2017 RX350 Muffled Call Audio Issue
Hello all!
I have been plagued with the receiver of my calls from my Lexus saying that I sound Muffled or as though I’m in a tunnel, or echoing in my 2017 Lexus RX350 ! Help!
I can play music over Bluetooth from my phone and listen to the radio and it seems to sound fine. Additionally I can hear the receiver of my outgoing calls just fine. The problem remains that the quality of my outgoing call on the receiving/receivers side is very bad - they are saying that I sound Muffled or as though I’m in a tunnel, or echoing in my 2017 Lexus RX350 ! Help!
Thank you for any assistance or advice that you can provide.

It could be a bad connection somewhere with either the microphone or an internal amplifier circuit component. Unless somebody here in this forum has a simple fix, you might have to take it in to an audio specialty shop.

If you have an Iphone:
Make sure your phone is updated to the latest OS. Turn your phone off, then turn back on. Unpair then re-pair your phone to your car.
Go to settings:
Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing > select Bluethooth Headset
If the sound is still muffled, it could be a bad or dusty microphone (try cleaning or blow compressed air into the mic vents for any dust). Or take it in for service if all else fails.
Hope this helps.
