Default Lock dimples on handles do not work

Hello everyone. I searched everywhere for this but couldn't find an answer to my specific problem.

I have a '20 RX450h, and when I put my hand under the door handle (any of the 4 handles), the car would unlock like it should. But when I put my finger on the little dimple to lock the car, it does not respond, and I have to lock the car using the fob. I tried this will all 4 handles, and none of the 4 would lock the doors. Everything else on the doors seems to be normal:

1. the handles light up when I'm nearby.
2. I can still lock all doors from inside the car.
3. the fob works normally
4. the doors lock/unlock when I shift to and from P.
5. all doors lock normally when I press the little button in the trunk the has a lock on it for 3 seconds (it shuts the trunk and then locks all doors).

I appreciate any help

It looks like a software glitch that will require a Lexus factory level OBD2 scanner. I am assuming you just purchased the vehicle and noticed right away the door lock problem. Take the car to Lexus or Toyota and talk to a service advisor. Sometimes they will fix these off the wall anomalies for free.

I've actually had the vehicle for about a year. Thanks a lot! I'll schedule an appointment with them and see what they say!

@Lexus1989 Were you able to find out the cause and the fix of the dimples touch sensors not working for locking the doors?
I have the exact same problem and seriously out of ideas. Any help, feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Does anyone have any lead or idea on why the touch lock mechanism and the lock button at the trunk don't work while everything else works? (touch unlock works, lock/unlock via fob works, lock/unlock via inside works)
When the lock sensor (dimple) is touched on the door handle, Live Data via Techstream shows that it is "ON"
Would a battery reset help with this? It's for a 2017 RX 350

I was finally able to take the car to the dealership. Exactly what you described: Techstream shows that the dimples send signals to the ECU, but it looks like the ECU isn't responding. The technician thinks it may have something to do with the FITCAMX dashcam that I installed recently. I tried a battery reset and it fixed the problem for about 5 minutes, then the problem came back again. I also started having a new problem: The doors would unlock on their own overnight, but the mirrors are folded, which tells me that it is not an issue with the fob. If the fob is sending signals to the car to unlock the doors, the mirrors would unfold.

Unplug and FITCAMX and see if the problem persists.

Still the factory battery, so about 3-4 years.

Lexus/Toyotas are known to be picky about their batteries, so that's a thought.
