2021 RX350 vs 2021 ES350

Spoiler
Last winter twice i could not leave home to go to work with the ES in the early morning before the plows came around and had to take the RX to work.
Also, on other days when the highways are closed due to bad weather and need to take the side roads home the ES was struggling.
Only few occasions and this is with Canadian winter.
However, enough for me to switch to a SUV for my commute now... Or more like an excuse TBH, but don't tell my DW.

Yeah if you must drive in the thick of a massive snowstorm, I get it - the RX will do better.

As long as I can remember, the ES never had the rear seats fold down. It just has a little pass way behind the rear seat armrest.

We have had both an ES and a RX (gas only) for more than 20 years. It's a great combination for us. If we had to downsize to one car it would be the RX. Both are equally reliable. The RX has more cargo space, can handle more extreme weather (although our recent NJ winters have been quite mild), is much easier to get in/get out of, but has worse gas mileage. The ES handles better, is more comfortable and is better for longer trips. We use the RX primarily for the around town trips. Our RX is 3 years older and when it comes time to replace it, we will most probably buy the all-electric RZ, but only once they extend the driving range.
