Trade 4 gen RX350 for Venza?
i'm thinking about trading in our 2021 RX350 for a more fuel efficient suv, want to keep in the Toyota family and the new Lexus suv line is getting ridiculously expensive. what about Venza? it's more luxurious than the Rav4, it's a hybrid, i can probably do an even trade with my 2021 F Sport RX350. only thing i worry about is the cargo space difference, to me the RX is longer in the cargo area than the Venza. would you do this trade?

The Venza hybrid will certainly get way more MPG than the RX.
Space wise it looks slightly smaller, but you have to decide how important that is to you.
Even trade, well you remember dealers like to make money so I wouldn't hold my breath. Assuming you are looking at a new Venza.
Best bet is to go check it out. My dealer tells me almost all hybrid are a very long wait.
Good Luck

if you are so concerned about MPG, have you thought about Tesla model Y? Here in Mass for the long range after state and federal incentives it's like $43K
Venza is a nice car and it's not in the same class as the RX. If you like the style then there is nothing wrong with by going with it.

I’ve owned a model 3 dual motor since 2018, traded it in earlier this year for a model Y Performance , wanna get something as reliable as the RX because we will keep this one for a long time. RAV4 prime is also on my radar.

Personally, I was thinking about getting the Rav4 Hybrid Limited which is pretty nice also and it's has more useable space since the roof line doesn't slope down on the 2nd floor and no raised cargo floor so more space there as well. Both Venza (a tab more luxury) and Rav4 hybrid (a tab more utility) have similar powertrains including AWD but different interior layout.

OP, no, I would not trade my 2022 350 F Sport for a 2023 Venza. But, that's my subjective opinion based on my needs and wants. Your needs and wants maybe very different.
Also, when i order pizza i pick the type of crust and toppings that i like and don't care what others like to order, because i'm not eating their pizza. 🙃

When I sat inside in the showroom, it just felt nothing like an RX. The plastics are cheap, the space inside the cabin is not roomy. The center console felt very narrow. If you need a car with good MPG, sure. But not an even trade. When you test drive, pay attention to the rattles and ride over lots of bumps. We have a RAV4 in the family, so I know these cars in/out, enough said.

Good info video... BTW Lexus RXs only have real leather in the "Luxury" package. Otherwise it's NuLuxe which is very similar to leather and maybe better in the long run.

A few years back, a friend of mine had bought a small SUV. About 1.5 years later, she told me that her son advised her to trade it in for a Prius for "more fuel efficient." She asked me for advice.
I told her that each person had his/her own needs and preferences, and I normally wouldn't give advice for vehicles. But since the purpose was "more fuel efficient," I'd do the math for her. At the end, she and I concluded that to recover the cost of the trade-in, she'd have to drive the Prius 10 years.
She is now still driving the small SUV.

I'm not comparing RX350 to Venza, just want to tell you a story that "more fuel efficient" may not be economical.
