Try this site with VIN
In addition to the NHTSA you can also double check for recalls by entering your VIN here: https://www.toyota.com/recall

We were under the impression that Lexus would send us a notice that the recall is or is not affecting our vehicle, but we never received a notice. Because of this, we can't get our 30K mileage service done on it. I tried searching the VIN on the https://www.toyota.com/recall website, but it's just saying "Sorry! An error occurred during your request... You can refresh this page to retry. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Does anyone know what we can do to officially check to see if our vehicle was affected by the recall? If it wasn't, does anyone know why the dealership never filed the CPO registration? Thank you in advance!
The best “guess” may be to go by the production date in the notice. See prior post #10. My 2021 450h is within that date range as the door plate shows a February manufacture month.

Either way, if it's not CPO, the dealer owes you a $2000 refund!

I wonder what they mean by "classify the occupant's weight". If it's either on or off, and it's on then you should be good to go. If it somhpw bases its logic on several weight classifications, then who knows?

I'm not sure, but if I were to guess, it would be to determine if it were a 5lb bag of groceries or a 150lb person in the seat.

I opened a case with Lexus corporate when the letter came out over this and got more information. It appears the local dealers are speculating when they say if you have Airbag On light then you are good to go. I was told the defect was an intermittent failure that can mistake adults for children and visa versa (deploying with the wrong amount of force) in addition to not detecting passengers accurately and not deploying at all. If you use that seat you are putting that person at risk. This is the reason for strong the wording in the letter. It is a one person vehicle or limo until the remedy (properly functioning part) is installed.
