Got the 20-21 airbag sensor recall letter today
It is not good news for those wanting a CPO 20-21 RX. It is labeled as an "Interim Notice" and describes the problem and says the remedy will not be available until the 3rd quarter of this year.

I don't think it would prevent me personally to get 2020 or 2021 Rx350 if I would be shopping for one.

I didn't mean to imply people wouldn't purchase a 20 or 21 RX because of the recall. The issues is the CPO status. Lexus has a policy that dealers can't certify a vehicle if it has an open safety related recall.

Recall reduced our RX450H to a one person car
No, it's not good news! Lexus says not to have anyone sit in the pasenger seat until there is a fix for the airbag sensors. This means our 2021 RX450H has become a one-person car because neither me nor my husband can sit in the back seat (of any car) because we both sufer from severe mothion sickness. I didn't pay this much money for a one-person car, and all they say is "we don't know when there will be a fix". Frankly, I don't think they are working too hard on finding one.

Just to be clear, our dealership advised us that as long as the "AIRBAG ON" light comes on when I have a passenger, the system is working fine. The OCS sensor is an occupant classification sensor, when it fails, it won't know if you're in the seat. So, if you sit in your passenger seat with the car running and the "AIRBAG ON" light is lit, your good to go. If, however, you are in that seat and it says "AIRBAG OFF" that means the OCS did not detect a passenger (hence, the recall) and the airbag would NOT deploy in that case. Ours is working fine. Yes, its under recall, but as long as the AIRBAG ON light is coming on when I (or my wife) sit in the passenger seat, we're not concerned. Your mileage may vary, this is not an "official statement" from lexus but simply something I was advised by my dealership. At the end, do what makes you feel safest but we're not bothered as it appears to be working fine in my car.
Also, if you read your recall:
Description
The subject vehicles have Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensors in the front passenger seat, that could have been improperly manufactured.
It says "could" have been improperly manufactured, it doesn't say "are bad".

We got a 2021 Lexus RX350 last December 2 days after the recall was announced. It has had all of the CPO work done on it, and we have the receipts, but Lexus is saying it's not a CPO because it was never registered as one. We were under the impression that Lexus would send us a notice that the recall is or is not affecting our vehicle, but we never received a notice. Because of this, we can't get our 30K mileage service done on it. I tried searching the VIN on the https://www.toyota.com/recall website, but it's just saying "Sorry! An error occurred during your request... You can refresh this page to retry. We apologize for any inconvenience."
Does anyone know what we can do to officially check to see if our vehicle was affected by the recall? If it wasn't, does anyone know why the dealership never filed the CPO registration? Thank you in advance!
