Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced anything similar to the above video.

I had taken the car to the dealership and they cleaned the rails and applied more grease but the crackling noise still persists.

They then told me they have to replace the entire motors - which is a big job. It requires taking down the headliner and replacing the motors embedded between the glass and the headliner (all covered under warranty)

I have heard many horror stories of the dealerships not doing proper sunroof repair work with Lexus and Toyota vehicles - which opens up more problems than needed. A recent car care nut video displaying how important sunroof repair needs to be as whistling noise and drainage issues can arise.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue without the need of the invasive fix?
