It wouldn't surprise me if a male RX driver said this looked great. Of course it does. And I'm sure as you mentioned more male buyers will get in esp. those that have been undecisive. But that does not mean this is not seen as a female suv. Toyota/Lexus and the general public know this regardless how we think.

So is this black piece which I thought was just a metal trim piece, Actually see thru glass? The flash in the photo shows the glass logo.
Haven't found any other photos from the inside that shows it.

If you look at the interior photos available directly through the lexus website, its actually a mix. Theres a small window there, but surronded by metal.

I spy with my eye....
So I guess Lexus is addressing the interior design questions by looking to their german competition:

Good stuff from Lexus, if you cant beat em join em

3 interior complaints: I wish the screen was taller (I love the giant screen in my GS), button explosion on the steering wheel, and open cup holders. I rarely close my cup holders because I put my phone there, but I still like to have the option.
That said, I love the new exterior and like the more traditional layout they went with for the interior. Could definitely see this replacing my wife's car in the future.

You're overanalyzing this. All dashboards will have similar basic designs, just because of the constraints of space and engineering needs, not to mention the limits of human driver anatomy. Even so, I don't see where exactly it is in those photos that Lexus "joined" (did you mean "copy"?) the Germans.

Lexus Champion
I like the design overall, with the exception of the front hang over and gaping F-sport grille. The hybrid grill is much more pleasing.
So to confirm, they took a GS350 2GR-FSE engine and stuffed in transversely into the RX's engine bay?
I wonder if this engine will make it to any other FWD Camry based Toyota/Lexus vehicles.
