Eric, I had a very negative first impression of the RX back in 1998 from a single picture in a magazine (17 years ago this month to be exact). I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the same way about the 4RX after the preview last week. It wasn't love at first sight. But one thing I've learned is to wait until I see it in person. Fortunately Lexus chose New York to reveal the '16 so I could do that. The longer I looked, the more I liked it. And you're right, the RX has a way of growing on you. Plenty of us RX owners talk about how much we enjoy our vehicles months or even years after getting it. Nothing wrong with that.
One thing's for sure, you'll be able to pick out the 4RX in a parking lot. And I mean that in a good way
anyone know of the 3 new colors for the 2016 RX? At ny auto show one of the people from Lexus told me that 3 new colors, 2 dark and 1 light would show up on 2016 RX.
Looking carefully at the 2016 RX I noticed that the tailpipes are NOT connected to the lower rear section f car. Rather they just are positioned there without an actual connection

Yes I'd like to hear about new colors, hopefully something a bit less sedate and boring than the current 2015 colors. I'd love to see Lexus bring back Matador Red, add a brighter blue, and a medium forest green.
The ES forum has an official sneak peak of the new headlight on the 2016 and it looks like a root beer brown color surrounding the light. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same new colors across their various product lines, so if that logic holds, a root beer color will be one new addition.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lexus offered the root beer brown color, since the Toyota Venza comes in that color also.
Polarizing and somewhat vicious! It'll be fun to spot thoselights at night. Can you imagine what an RX F would look like with larger intakes, hood scoop, vented fenders and quad exhaust?! Maybe 400-450hp and vectoring AWD. They'd have my interest spurred
So is there still no rear passenger climate and/or audio controls?!
