But yes, it does take a looooong time!
Here is the timeline I posted in another tread...
April 8, 2016: Vehicle ordered and $1000 deposit placed.
April 28, 2016: Lexus Approved the order. Says estimated Build Date in July.
July 8, 2016: Asked my dealer for an update. Got the v-spec sheet with temporary VIN and estimated Build Date of August 4, 2016. 0.9% Financing offered.
August 8, 2016: Applied for Credit Approval for 0.9% Financing and $500 Cash Incentive. Estimated Delivery Date of August 17-22, 2016.
August 16, 2016: Updated Delivery Date set for August 17-18, 2016 for pick up on August 19-20, 2016.
August 18, 2016: Got the call that the car had arrived at the Dealership. Set time and date to pick up the car.
August 19, 2016: Officially picked up and signed for. Financing taken care of. Temporary Licence Plate. Official VIN given.
Total Time, 4 months and 11 days!!! But, totally worth the wait!
Overall, I found the experience to be great. I timed it just right to get the car to line up with the Golden Opportunity Sales Event, so I was able to get that 0.9% Financing and $500 dollars cash back. Certain dealerships are much better to order from than others. My dealership was great and provided updates when ever I wanted one. Got the car ordered exactly the way we wanted. I even asked them not to wash my car to avoid swirl marks. I got the car with all the plastic still on it! If you have any specific questions, let me know...here or via private message!

Greetings All
Greetings all!
I am brand new here. I lurked for a bit, because I had trouble getting my confirmation e-mail on my iCloud. I finally gave up & used another e-mail address. I am also brand new to Lexus. I've owned pretty much all kinds of cars & trucks, including Acura. I just came from a diesel vehicle that was SO much trouble, it had to be bought back by the manufacturer. Coming over to Lexus is such a huge change for me & that's a GOOD thing! I have lots of questions since I've never owned a hybrid. I was never opposed to them (except most are ugly), but never found one that fit my needs until now. Here's a brief rundown:
1. RX450h
2. Navigation
3. Red exterior and Brown interior
4. All but Safety Package
5. Just the RX 450h on 20s

Congrats on the RX! Now, as for tips...I strongly recommend a paint protection film to save the paint from rocks and flying debris on the road. In addition, a good ceramic coating or at the very least, a good coat of sealant/wax should do the trick.
Happy driving!

Hi, I have the new rx350 "Premier" ( non-F sport ) version. In my country, this model DOES NOT have a power liftgate function, and the local Lexus doesn't offer the option to install a power liftgate. That's my main frustration. I can't even get the part number of that lifter device, and I tried to ask at a Toyota dealer, ( whose own similar models do have the power liftgate ! ), and they couldn't help either, because they're observing a rule never to touch a Lexus.
I'm exploring ways to install a power liftgate on my rx350. If I can't get an original part, then I'll install an aftermarket one. Any ideas ?
Other than this irritation, its a darn good car. By the way, I still have my earlier 2013 model ( with the POWER LIFTGATE! ), which merely ADDS to my frustration.
will attach a picture on my next post.
