Here is the new toy RX450h loaded. I changed the trunk light bulbs to led bulbs. The back-up light led will be soon.

I have no clue why it did that. I took the photos with the iPhone in perfect orientation but after downloading to this site, they all rotate 90 degree???

1st post here.
2017 RX 350 AWD, Atomic Silver exterior + Black interior, Premium Pkg, BSM, Power Liftgate
Previously owned several Hondas. Other car is turbo charged Civic

Agonized through the entire spectrum (CRV, Rav4, Forester, Highlander, RDX, MDX, GLC 300, Q5, X3/5) for several months and eventually decided on the RX350.
While I definitely miss the touch screen, Android Auto & remote start (without a subscription) on my Civic, the RX is a whole different league and I am very happy with the choice (been a little over a week)

Default 1st Time Lexus Owner

Traded my wife's 2013 BMW 535i for this 2017 RX 350. We needed a long term vehicle (8+ years) and the BMW definitely wasn't one. So we looked at the MDX and RX 350. We would of been happy with either one. Ended up with this RX mainly because of getting a better deal than we could find for a comparably optioned MDX. Dealer took $7K off the $54K MSRP and gave us $2K above blue book a for the BMW. I've seen many older RX's on the road and have heard that the these are extremely reliable so hopefully this holds true for us.

Options it came with off the lot:
- Blind Spot, Park Assist, Auto Breaking
- 20" wheels
- Touch Free rear door
- Heat/Vent Seats
- Triple-Beam Headlights
- Nav with the huge screen
- Premium Package
- Moon roof
- Tow Prep
- Espresso Walnut Trim
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Cargo Net/Mat, Key Gloves

I will say Acura makes the options far less complicated than Lexus. The RX definitely has a better looking interior that the MDX and the large screen is definitely better that the 2 screen set up the MDX has.

I drive an MDX Advance and my wife a 2012 Rx 350. We are in the market for a replacement for her. I suggested to her to try other options, but she is only going for the same brand. I think both brands are comparable. Lexus has the luxury feel, Acura not so much. Lexus is more reliable than Acura. In fact Acura is now below the US average and is now dragging down Honda. But on the maintenance issue, Acura beats Lexus hands down. At 10k intervals and very economic service charges it is easy on the wallet.

If the iPhone mode is in zoom it does that. When taking photos that are not zoomed, I put the camera in non zoom mode through pinch motion. I read this on some forum and have not had such an issue.

Default Picking up new rx350 tuesday

well, I pulled the trigger. Second time driving the 4th gen vs the 3rd, and while I really like the 3rd and I hate the idea of spending 50k on a car, there is simply no comparison when driving back to back. The otd price difference between the 15 low mile certified vehicle and a 17 with nav, tow, prem, ventilated seats, etc is 12k. That is not insignificant and frankly, enough to push me toward the 15, but the drive, looks and feel of the 2017 is excellent.

Atomic siler with grey interior. Harder to find but the interior is soothing and luxurious. I really didn't love the parchment in the 4th gen even though it was my favorite in the 3rd gen. Both are nice but the grey really sealed it for me.

Apparently, my post and review got moved over here...

Yes! Ceramic Paint Coating is totally worth it, in my opinion. Water and dirt is repelled so nicely. And, it appears to be much harder to install surface scratches/ swirl marks. I really like that after driving in the rain, there isn't that much filth stuck to the car. Makes washing very easy. Perhaps my only complaint is that using a foam-cannon on a coated car is not as fun...

Default Picking up the new RX at noon

After a long search for a 3rx and finding pricing otd at roughly 37-38k, I decided to try a new 4rx just for comparison. While I have some concerns based on a few issues noted on this board, a full test drive "seemed" to suggest all was fine. I thought the car was significantly improved over the 3rx in terms of ride quality, plus, safety features and a model update factored into the equation. The price differential proved to be less than I originally anticipated too. While not thrilled about dropping 49k, it seemed worth it for the incremental 11-12k.

anyway, appreciate all the help. Atomic silver with light grey interior, nav, ventilated seats, tow pkg, sunroof, 20 inch wheels, prem pkg etc, is moving into the garage.

That's great. I know you did a lot of comparisons 3rx vs 4rx. As both are excellent vehicles I think the 4rx is the way to go. Newer technology, improved safety, full warranty, more comfortable ride, plus you get the color and interior you were looking for. For a 12G price difference, that's money well spent.

Enjoy the new ride and have fun figuring out all the new gizmos. You have lots of good people here ready to answer questions you will have...
