Details unseen in Pics!

A few things I noticed while checking 4RX internal pamphlet:
- they seem to have added an overhead box for sunglasses. Didn't quite get how exactly big it is and exact location (the photo was pretty small and dark). But it is present (an option?… not sure)
- power back door can now be opened touch-less! Just by hovering your hand over the Lexus logo
- if you press power back door close button TWICE, it'll close the door AND lock the car (a huge hit with my wife
- I missed that on official pictures, but the shape of the steering wheel seems to be the same for both L and Sports models now (with bulbs on the sides, for L it's half-wood, half-leather). I totally love Sports steering wheel shape, but didn't want to get it just for the wheel. Great to see this was added
- the opening under center "divider" console (sorry, not sure how that's called…) is still missing, so it probably goes to production this way I like how we can put a box of Kleenex down there and it would be accessible to both driver and passenger. Not anymore, it seems…
- saw exact measurements of HUD (and comparison with 3RX's), and it's basically 7 times bigger now. about 3 times wider and about 2.5 times taller. Insane!

The Sunglasses holder is still to be confirmed in production vehicles. It may depend on spec. If you have some form of SOS system, its usually where the sunglasses holder is so it may be removed.
As for the opening - I hate it! My wife puts keys and tubs of facial cream down there which rattle about and annoy me so Im glad its been removed to an extent.

Even if the SOS button is overhead where the sunglasses holder should be, there is a small storage area, sort of like a mini glovebox, similiar to the GS on the driver's side where sunglasses would fit.

The SOS button and sunglass holder fit just fine in the overhead console area of the 4RX I saw at the NYIAS. Hopefully that doesn't change between now and launch. Not that I'd use it but I know other people will.

I found this picture. Looks like only the passenger gets the cubby.

Thanks for sharing this! Finally a properly lit interior shot! The cubby looks kinda shallow width-wise though.. So maybe they made separate ones for the driver and the passenger?
On the side note, with design like that my first thought was that we already have "trash pockets" built into doors
(Now to figure out where we'll be putting our Kleenex box.. Until now all my cars either had some space for them or had special optinal holder mounted under the ceiling - one thing i loved about my Toyota Scion xB)

Looking at the photo, below the '****', the panel on the lower portion has a vertical seam and appears as if it could somehow open. Of course I could be wrong, but if it doesn't, then why would a seam be there? Just musing.....

To get to the electrics inside in case something goes wrong? May have a fuse box in there too
