Am I the only one who thinks the 2016 RX isn't Classy ?

I'm 37 and I loved the new 4RX immediately when I first saw it. The new grill and front end is so sexy. Actually, the entire car looks great imo. Finally the RX looks masculine and mean. Thats why I just bought one. Love the way it looks. Hated the soft and feminine 3RX.

16 looks like a transformer and the grill is grotesque. If you like the 16 RX I suggest you drive a RAV4 and put the rest of the money in the bank. Very uncomfortable and console is too cluttered. Plus the ride is terrible, lots of noise and vibration, definitely will not purchase one of them in the future. Just plain ugly. Lexus lost a long time customer. If that interior is in the top 10 best that is sad. IMO Toyota has lost it in styling all their recent designs are fugly.

Classy? Among many many others, the '29 Cord, the '29 Packard or the '32 Hupmobile exemplify CLASS. The RX doesn't hold a candle the them in "classiness" comparison. I would have to think of another more fitting word to to complement the '16RX

Resurrecting this thread, still hanging onto RX400h with low miles owned since day one, and the primary reason we aren't moving fast into a new is the totally ugly front grille. I can't get past it. Just terrible.
Curious if sales are up, down or sideways on the new redesign these past couple years, but we're beginning to put a list together to replace the RX and Lexus is not likely going to appear on that list. Has anyone else had dialogue with your dealer about this design and the takeaway of how ugly it is, and how long will Lexus let this thing go this way until a redesign or even slight update is done to this front end?
We have loved the Lexus experience and truly enjoy the RX as a 3rd vehicle in the fleet, but coming to grips with the catfish front end of the new one is becoming impossible.
Thoughts? Feedback from dealers? Sales info?

Curiously, while sales for most Lexus models, especially the sedans, were down for 2016, in some cases by close to 40%, RX sales are one of the few that have been up, and the RX continues to be, by a good margin, the best selling Lexus model. For 2016, the RX accounted for about 56% of all Lexus SUV sales and for about 1/3 of all Lexus vehicle sales. The next best selling Lexus model is the ES, and the number of ES sales was only a little over half of the number of RX sales.

Yeah, can't argue with sales. I don't like the looks of them either but clearly people do.
Some people say they get bought "dispite" the styling, I personally find it hard to believe somebody is buying a 50-60k vehicle they hate he styling of.

I personally love the design. I wasn't even in the market for a new car when I saw the 4RX and decided to check it out and $80k later bought it. Couldn't resist the loaded F sport in white. ☺☺☺☺😂😂

You totally don't get it about appreciation being a strictly personal matter? Each of our views on aesthetics has no validity whatsoever except for ourselves. You cannot say that the grille is ugly; you can only say that you find it to be ugly, and when you say that you cannot be wrong. My view, worthless though it is? I would never buy an SUV like the older Lexuses that looked to me like the Pillsbury Doughboy with mumps.
I see many more 4th gen RXs than 2nd gen RXs in my area. So it looks like the concerns about styling have a narrow audience. Out with the old, in with the new.
