Default Panoramic-view Monitor with Blind Spot Monitor...

Hi folks,
I have been chasing the 2016 RX350 since the car show in New York this year, and anxiously waiting for them to hit the dealerships. I read the product information that was just released, listed on these forums this week, but, had a couple of questions and hoping maybe someone can clear them up. Under factory options, they have the option "Panoramic-view Monitor with Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert listed, but, when talking with a salesman at a Lexus dealership in Houston, he informed me that he could not find the Panoramic-view monitor included in any options. Does anyone know any more detail on the Panoramic-view Monitor?

Must have option for me.

Thanks for that. I will send that to my salesman.

Oh, I meant to note that under the Factory Options they have the Blind Spot Monitoring listed two different ways; One that includes the panoramic view and the other option leaves off the panoramic view monitor. That was my confusion.

I'm curious too...ever since I saw this video demo of the panoramic on an NX last year:

"The camera system works with four high-definition cameras in each corner of the vehicle, giving a full overview of the surroundings — very cool technology."

It's showing up as an option on page 9 of the product info:

http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/...specs.download

And of course, maybe it's not gonna be available right away...

"not going to be available right away"..... That's what I am afraid of. And, yes... page 9 is where I saw it listed two different ways and why I was confused...and when the salesman couldn't find it anywhere either, I started to get worried. I suppose I will just have to hang on a little while longer. Hopefully they will have more information, along with pricing of packages, to pretty soon.

if they pull an NX for the USDM, oh man will this be a let down.
NX besides the USA does not offer the above pano monitor, nor AVS.

So if the RX launches with those two missing....

FWIW concerning the Panoramic View Monitoring.... I read the owners manual of the 2016 rx450h, and it does show where the switch is located to enable the Panoramic View. Nothing on the 350 yet, but, I would assume it will be an option for the 350 as well.

I have been in a '16 Rx and there is no button on the dash. You select the different views from the nav screen. In fact the one I have reserved has it.....

The button is on the left hand side of the steering wheel. In the same area as the auto high beams and the BSM off switch.

Just curious, which dealer in Houston are you talking about. Mine tells me they don't have any info yet.

Any dealer that says they don't have info is lazy. It's out there. builds are out there. They are shipping to dealers as I type this.
