Ursa, my dealer offered me a $1,200 loyalty discount last month. Earlier this week, I asked if they participated in the Costco program. I'm not a member but would join if it was worth my while. My sales guy said they do, $1,425 on the 350 or $1,125 on the 450h. He's willing to give me the higher amount on the 450h I will be special ordering this month. I hope to get closer to the 5% discount I received the last time around.

Maybe try other dealers. Good luck.

But I wonder if the Costco discount is a separate program and incentive on top of any additional dealer rebates. If it's the case, a dealer discount should still be negotiated on top of the Costco rebate. For instance, in Canada, you get up to a 1K rebate off a Ford being a Costco member on top of any negotiated discount. Naturally, one would negotiate the price with the dealer first, then mention the additional Costco rebate.

In my case I'm special ordering. Dealers don't like to give discounts on those. Last weekend I visited another dealer to test drive the F-Sport. Gave the sales guy my OTD price from my dealer. Sales manager came out and told told me they were throwing numbers at me. I said I don't think so, I've been going there for 17 years. He totally changed his attitude. Now they were supposed to call me Monday with a price. Nothing so far, it's obvious they can't come close to what my dealer is offering. Lexus has a $1,400 credit for AWD. Combined with my discount, it's 5%. Not bad but the plan is to shoot for more or ask if some accessories can be thrown in. There's other ways to save money

You dont have to wait to get $2k off msrp if you find the right deal. So far I have found deals in norcal and socal over $2k off msrp. Costco discount easily confirms that. If you are in socal try Torrance Lexus ask for Benjamin.

I cancelled my full MSRP special order as well here in NY. Ordered again with 6% off about $3500 in another state. You do have to keep looking around, even if you have to ship it to you.

I just purchased 2016 RX, 49k msrp build at $500 above invoice from a local dealer here in Chicago. Other dealerships were around $1000-1350 above invoice, which was their Costco (showed me their Costco pricing sheet) price for my particular build, but they couldn't go lower than Costco pricing. My dealership offered 500 above invoice right off the bat with no negotiation necessary.

I just got a loaded luxury 2016 RX350 blue w/ noble brown interior msrp 58.1k in socal.
Got 3.9k off msrp + 1k from a coupon I got at the LA Autoshow so 4.9k off total. No trade-in, I'm selling it to
CarMax instead. They will deliver it to me tomorrow!

edit: They told me the 3.9k off was $500 under invoice, so with the 1k coupon it was $1500 under invoice total!

I am looking for a RX350 fully loaded Eminent White Pearl. I believe the MSRP is 59764.00. The best I can get right now is $1,200.00 off MSRP. I have tried Costco discount but I only got $500.00 off in my area. If anyone can get $2.000 or more off in Norhthern California, please share your info.
Thanks,

Default advice on price

To those of you who have bought their car already and to those who are looking...

Wow just found out about this thread haha... at the TOP of the forum.. Let me be more detailed.

I was quoted a fully loaded f sport AWD rx for 56,753.
MSRP after everything was 58,974.
Total Dealer Invoice was 55,753.

Costco pricing is what gave me 56,753.

BTW.. Kelly Blue Book Online Price Range was ( 57,454-59,215) and the fair purchase price was 58,335.

I didn't haggle or ask for anything else. I asked him the best price I could get and that was it.

Dealer was the Magnus Lexus in Fremont.

Does anyone know if they got something lower, good deal, ask them to throw in free stuff?

As this is my first car purchase I wanted anyones advice. I saw someone on the forum to ask them not to was the car, remove the sticky protection, etc.

Sound off and let me know what you guys think!!!

White F Sport MSRP $57k, Paid $60k OTD. Best deal I could find on a white f sport in California in the last several weeks.
