2016 RX Best Prices So Far?

I was so close to closing on an insane deal in Georgia. 9% off off MSRP, special order RX450H F Sport. However work came up ninja style and by the time I was suppose to charge the deposit, the Sales Mgr declined to approve the deal. The Lexus Gods have spoken aka rained on the deal of the century lol
Probably not meant to be

I would love to rush things, but without any certainety on the deposit terms and a Vspec ehhh not a fool

Because he realize he's not going to make that much. Deal should be a deal. It's not like he sold the car to someone else for more money. It's hard for me to believe any dealer would discount 9% on 450h f-sport on their lot. I can only dream of 9% off on special order.

Its a frontline Sales Advisor who initally offered the price after back and fourth. However she was insisting on a deposit. However I needed more time to review the sales contract, deposit terms, etc So was given time for those documents to be sent over. However she came back saying that the pricing for the allocation spot was something their manager declined. LOL

It depends on the vehicle itself. If its been on the lot for a while, is not a lease special then expect to get close to what your coming up. However since its a basic model, theres not a whole lot of room to negotiate, hence why purchasing a model with a couple more options packs makes more sense sometimes compared to a base model

how base of a RX?? Its pretty hard to find a truly base car...meaning FWD with zero options. Most will come with at least a prem. package and moonroof. Most dealers will be really aggressive in terms of price to get you one on their lot oppose to paying closer to full price on a special order of a base RX

I am looking into buying something off the lot in the Chicago area with what appears to be a fairly common build among several dealers - i.e. RX 350 AWD with Prem/Tow/Cold/Pref acc packages, BS Mirror, power rear door, heated seats/trimmed wheel, matts, etc - 49,694 MSRP. Invoice 47,168. One internet quote w/o any effort (TrueCar) produced quote from one dealer @ 47,599 (~4.2% off MSRP) not including $169 doc fees and TTL.
What is general expectation of current pricing in terms of % off MSRP or %/$'s below invoice, etc? Is appx 9% off MSRP or an alternative view 96% (or ~2K below) of internet "invoicing" feasible as of this date? Any recommendations or advise greatly appreciated and I give you my thanks in advance of your reply.
