Unfortunately the United States is so backed up in political red tapes that our automobiles suffer here. We get designs and tech from other parts of the world years later and they call them our new models. Oz gats a version of the RX that we don’t here in the US. It looks like a Premium and yet has the suspension and tweaks of an FSport. I’ve inquired with Lexus of America and they didn’t even know it existed. It’s all legal. We don’t get the sequential tail lights either, because of minute red tape yet Audi can cause they dance around the bs laws.

Sequential tail lights, yes, that is due to traffic & safety laws. Toyota is beginning to do the same dance around the laws with the new Avalon and I'd imagine we'll see Lexus vehicles doing the same sooner than later. However, the bolded statement above is nothing to do with legalities, that is pure marketing based on geographic location. Each market sees different specs, trims, packages, etc. based on what is believed the demand will be for that market. This is done even on a regional basis, more so than other manufacturers. For example, in the United States, certain models, like the GS, cannot be found in AWD form in California, at all. RWD only cars are sent here and they are packaged with the standard base Bi-LED headlights, but if you look in the mid-west you'll ONLY find AWD GS models and nearly every single one of them comes with the Triple Beams. I don't necessarily agree with how they do it, just sharing how it is done.
