So how much of an extended warranty did your $2,4000 buy you?

 

This Extended Warranty continues the Lexus new car/CPO warranty with $0 deductible with no mileage or time limitations as long as we own the car.

 

So if you keep your car another 10-15 years, I'd say you made out very well!

pretty sure no warranty is this way. i almost bet you whatever they told you was wrong. you should really look at your contract.

my buddy bought a lexus cpo and they told him all this crap. we checked paperwork and it was all wrong.

how can they offer you a lifetime warranty...for the price? remember if its too good to be true it means it isnt.

Thanks very much to the forum posters who expressed skepticism about the extended warranty info I posted. I rechecked the extended warranty terms. I labored under the misapprehension that Lexus and the dealer administered the program and that the terms were similar to the new/CPO warranty. In fact the contract was issued by CNA National--while better than one from Dewey Fleecim and Howe, a third party warranty still walks like a duck. Claims are adjusted by CNA National, not Lexus or the dealership, and the warranty has significantly more exclusions than the new car/Cpo warranty. I am rescinding the purchase and requesting reimbursement on the credit card used to make the purchase.

Shame on me for not reviewing the terms more carefully. And thanks again to the forum posters who questioned the terms I listed.

 

like i said...if its too good to be true..it means its not.

yes almost every dealer plays these game and if your uninformed you get screwed.

Thanks for the information in this thread. Bought a new RX350 on 09/22/19 from Lexus of Orlando FL and declined everything. In the finance room, the table is a computer screen that shows all the offers. I had called the Finance person (Jay) before we came in to get the offers. In doing this, they had the tag transfer ready to go. Jay didn't push hard when we declined everything, he was very professional. He even gave us a computer memory stick that had all our documents. It's all done electronically, signing on the table with a plastic pen. I'll have all the details of the purchase in the 2019 thread.

1 year - $1775
2 years - $2100
4 years - $3225 / takes miles to 100k.

Scotch Guard - $995. Covers inside and outside of car. At 5 years they do it again, then again at 3 years.
Tire warranty (5 years) - $779
Ding Shield (5 years) - 492

 

That sounds like a Hendrick warranty. They offered similar products here at Lexus of Pleasanton.

 

My 4 year bumper to bumper warranty ends in December for my 16' 350. As far as I know, there are no issues with the car. Is it prudent to bring it to the dealer before this time to check for any problems I am unaware of, or just a waste of money?

 

If nothing seems to be obvious to you, I doubt a dealer will try too hard to come up with something. But, you never know.......
