I did a road trip the other day, all highway, 25C or 77F, no wind in one direction, little breeze at my back on the trip home. Total trip was 520kms or 323 miles. Average speed was 110 kph or 68 mph, tire pressure 34psi, A/C on whole trip, no heavy foot, just cruising along. Regular fuel (89) and to fill up after used 49.1 litres or 12.97 US gallons. MPG (Canadian gallon) was 29.846 or 24.85 mpg (US gallon) or 9.44 /100km.

Best mileage to date on the highway. Vehicle now has 21,000 Kms or 13,048 miles.

I've got 17,000km and my best fuel economy to date is similar at 9.2L/100 (25.6 US mpg).

I got 29.8 MPG on the highway as per the car software, just 400 miles on Odo.

I have beat my record 8.3.

8.1 L / 100 Km on a 300 Km trip.

So in US it gives 29 miles per gallon.

All that going up and down on big hills in a montain area.

LOL. After 10,000 miles I am averaging about 16.5 in my 2016 RX 350 F Sport driven exclusively in S+ mode. Pathetic, but it is what it is. The car is good, but I don't love it any more like I did when it was new.

New 2017 RX-450H averaging 29.3 MPG on mixed city and highway driving over the first 800 miles. A bit of Sport mode around the city (fun!!!). Would estimate the 800 miles breaks down to 590 highway and 210 city with many of the city trips being 8 miles each way with mostly cold starts. Running 89 octane gas and not sure if we are getting winter gas up north here yet. We have top tier Shell gas here in town but I am using the non-top tier gas from the local Country Fair convenience store.

Default 2017 RX 350 Gas Mileage

2017 RX 350 with 6,000 Km used to do 12.2 litres per 100 Km from March to Oct then it went to 12.4; 12.5; 12.7 and now 12.8. I know that in winter mileage suffers, but does this seem normal to you guys?
There are no warnings anywhere and I'm sure that if a clogged engine air filter was the cause some warning would come up. I'm using premium gas and the car runs great!
Any advice will be appreciated.

The amount of increase is pretty small and it could be just your foot. If it were winter fuel only, it would have just been one abrupt change.

Thank for the reply ggebhardt.

I know it's not my foot, as I'm driving exactly were I've always driven and in the same manner, something else must be afoot, but what?!

I was pleased to see under 8 on my recent 700 km trip (7.9), average 12.5/13 around town though.

So you're getting the same as me and in warmer clime. On a longer trip I got 7.1 but around town it was 12.2 for months till the colder weather arrived, but it keeps going up (consumption) and that's what prompted me to enquire with you guys. Still it seems to be within the parameters that you all are getting.
