Anyone get Lexus to order the hitch kit?

I’m not trying to be mean. I hope you got this for a REALLY good price, because it doesn’t look very professional in my opinion. Only the Lexus hitch requires cutting the bumper. Aftermarket hitches are designed around that & there is no cutting & they cost WAY less. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I’m just stating what I see.

yes, you must take off the bumper skin, and remove the internal bumper, which gets replaced by the body of the hitch receiver. It is also necessary to have the bumper skin off the car to detach the bottom portion. All in all not too difficult to do.

Trailer hitch install
What's the best way to get a trailer hitch installed? Dealer would be $700 with hitch + ball + installation. UHaul quote is $250, but would that void any warranties?

A few points:
1. I've had good luck with e-trailer.com on hitches. I've purchased and installed them myself. Very easy installations on most models with pre-drilled holes like Lexus. I checked and they have one for both the regular and the F-sport.
2. I have a 2018 RX350L. There is no hitch available for the extended body. I checked with both e-trailer and my dealer. It seems the spare tire positioning is lower on this body style, and so the regular RX350 hitch will not work. You have to question if there will ever be one that does, depending on what Toyota's real intentions are for the L body. Is it just a stop-gap model to fill a competitive need until they can come out that really competes with "true" 3-row SUVs?
3. I just ordered and installed the WeatherTech digital mats. I did the front mats and the rear cargo mat. They fit fine.
Hope it helps,
Joe
