Anyone get Lexus to order the hitch kit?

The suspension design tradeoffs between getting a cushy ride with one driver in the vehicle, and also handling 400 lb. of passengers plus 100 lb. of luggage, is a classic challenge for automobile design. It's pretty much impossible to get both on the same car. Having test driven a 2018 base model RX, and my F Sport, I think the F Sport has a stiffer suspension and, of course, a harsher ride with only me in the car. But I'd rather have that than a suspension that bottoms out with a full load. It's just a matter of personal taste.

The springs on my non-F RX certainly are soft. It squats noticeably when I put it in gear. It's not an issue and I like the ride, but I can't recall driving a vehicle so softly sprung.

I have a converter to go from 4 pin to 7 pin for our pop up trailer, bit no active charge pin. If you want to charge your trailer battery through your cars alternator then you need to run a dedicated power Cable directly to the battery and install a fuse close to battery for it.
i did that on our last Venza, but Never used that. That was a waste. I change it at home and use only LED lights in the trailer if we camp somewhere non electric.
If you are thinking of powering your fridge while driving, you might overload the RX alternator and battery.

I'm having a Curt 13282 installed tomorrow on my new to me 2017 RXh. I'm curious about this soft spring issue with towing. I don't tow a lot but there will be times I'm over 3,000 in my utility trailer and I'm wondering if there any progressive spring shock replacements for this vehicle? Progressive springs are nice as they don't hurt the soft unloaded ride as much and stiffen with increase in load.

Perhaps that’s the difference in the regular suspension vs. the F Sport’s. My regular gets squirrelly with 4 adults & luggage. The RX is a poorly designed SUV that’s never been improved. I’m looking to see how the new Genesis does in its first year. If it does well, I will be be seriously looking at them & leaving Lexus & their horrible old tech behind.

What year RX F-sport do you have? Did you have to make any modifications? Can you post a picture? Just curious since the links says "excludes f-sport"
