Don't know your car's dash layout, but in my 2010 RX I use an Anker CD slot holder. I've tried a half-dozen devices over the years, this is by far the most stable and it doesn't interfere (much) with controls.

Remarkable how many different ways folks are mounting phone in cars.

I looked at several and decided on this mount:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KHLD435/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KHLD435/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I place it on the front windshield on the left. It is out of the way and does not interfere with my front visibility. I'm able to keep my eyes on the road.

I considered the magnet version of a mount but some reviewers indicated that it interfered with charging so I stayed away from those types.

Default 4th Gen Rx Phone Holder Charger

What's evrryone using for phone holder on their 4th gen RX?

I'm looking for one that charges wirelessly, maybe something that doesn't nt clip to the vent, magnetic maybe.

Anyone else have this issue? Would like to know how people are handling this?

Any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Mine clips into the CD Player and works perfect

I have used these in the past. Very good holder that you can screw or stick anywhere in the car.

I've been considering buying the weathertech phone cup holder. Seems very sturdy, not wobbly and can charge while using it. My Samsung Note 9 fits in the jphone slot just under the dash and the small compartment on the left of my steering wheel in my 2020 RX 350 fsport and also fit in the compartment to my left of the steering wheel in my 2017 RX 350 fsport. Here is the link to weathertech cup holder.

Default Proclip mount

Have you looked at ProClip? I've had one on my last 4 cars and like the construction, fit, and the way it mounts. Here is a link for the 2016 RX

No, I'm not good on things blocking the air or sitting anywhere on my dash. There was a slot in the rx 2017 I had and now 2 slots int he 2020 I use. If I get something extra I'll get the weathertech cup holder, easier for me that way.

I use the Belkin MagSafe holder for iPhone, and clip it into the drivers side air vent left of the steering wheel.

Here is mine:

Gravity Car Phone Holder 360 Degree Rotatable Invisible Alloy Car Mount Air Vent Dashboard Gravity Mount GPS Stand Cell Support

I've must have gone through nearly a dozen phone holders, most of which have terribly designed mounts that fall out of the vent. This one is nice and doesn't look too intrusive in its folded state. I simply like to keep my phone screen under my infotainment so that I can keep my eyes on both if necessary. Most of the times, I'm running two maps, Apple maps for guidance (infotainment) and Waze for alerts (phone) so vent mounting is a must.

I used to put mine in the small compartment to the left of my steering wheel on the dash until I decided it was easier to put it in my door also, like you.
