I went to TintWorld in Dundalk (closest to me) and they have 3 levels of tint available. Regular dyed film, carbon, and ceramic. Ceramic is around $450 but was half off because of Black Friday. I would call some places near you in Silver Springs to see if they have any Christmas specials.
got the following price estimates:
3m crystalliine $685 including windshield and moon roof, 50% all around/moonroof and 70%windshield
pinnacle f1 $385 including windshield and moonroof, 35% all around/moonroof and 80% windshield.
i am in florida. i am leaning towards pinnacle f1 and use the extra $300 i can save from the 3m crystalline to put clear bra on hood/bumper/side mirror and rear bumper $650.
where in FL are you located and where did you receive the quote? $385 is a pretty good deal for all around + windshield and moonroof!
I'm looking to tint my front windows soon and was wondering if the rear windows that come "tinted" on the car actually block out UV, IR, and solar heat or is it just dark windows? Hopefully the question makes sense. In other words, I'm wondering if the back windows actually help protect the interior of the car or are the windows just made to be dark from the factory?
I'm asking because if they don't actually have any UV, IR, or heat rejecting property, I'm considering tinting the rear windows to add the UV, IR, and heat rejecting properties. I'd tint them the lightest possible and some tint manufacturers even have clear tints with UV, IR, and heat rejections. I don't want the fronts too dark so maybe like a 50% or 40% will be good enough for me.

The back windows are just privacy dark and do not block anymore heat or UV rays than the front windows.
Just got my windows tinted on my RX450h. Read on this thread about moonroof. If anyone has done this what percentage did you use and are you happy with it. I keep my shade closed except at night because to hot and to bright.
Windshield: full face Air 80. Has a slight blue tint color
front side windows: 20% ceramic
rear side and rear trunk: 30% Ceramic over factory Lexus tinted glass
love it. I’m not used to tint on the front side windows, but it is my wife’s car and that’s what she wanted. I do love it. Makes it much cooler and comfortable. It also adds a great all black type of look.
Hey folks, just wanted to share what I have done so far with the wife’s RX. We’ve had it for a week and I have already been doing some work. Fun fun!
Tinted windows
-full face windshield Air 80
-20% ceramic front sides
-30% ceramic rear sides and rear hatch
weather tech floor mats and trunk
tinted headlights using vvivid headlight wrap. This is my first time applying a headlight wrap. Took some getting used to but overall easy product to use. Very satisfied with the tinting.
because I had some trial and error and using up some film for the headlights, The rear section tail lights on the trunk are the only one with full tint, the outer tails have only the white tinted.
Tinted:
-headlights
-fog lights
-Lexus Emblems front / back
- rear (except outer tail red section)
honestly, I’m not a fan of the tinted headlights in regards to safety, My wife wanted the smoked look, this is her car so I’m just stuck with doing the work. Lol. I think it looks nice though, depending on the car, it isn’t too dark. One of the pictures was in the shade so it looks darker than it is. Will wait to see tonight how the night driving goes.
Nice tint @makaRX350. What tint level is that? I have the LaminX smoke and it doesn't seem as dark as yours.

full windshield: Air 80
front sides: 20% ceramic
rear sides and hatch: 30% ceramic (on top of factory tinted glass) wanted to match front and back as best we could while front is 20%
This is a VERY BAD idea IMO. yes it may look good or even great, but its a safety issue. the headlights on the RX are only "acceptable", by darkening them further, you're reducing your visible distance even more, decreasing your visible distance at night. highly recommend not tinting headlights, and to those who do, be careful out there!
