I was going to go with 35 rear but when I put it up against the glass with the factory tint it was still too light as in you can see inside easily on a sunny day.

I also have the light grey interior

Jealous, That looks sharp! Too bad it's totally illegal to tint the front windows to anything less than 50% in Chicago

I'm looking to get the windshield tinted but was wondering what those in states who require inspection or reg. stickers on the shield do?

I just tinted my car too, thanks to the forum I know the factory back window is 21%, so I ask the installer to tint 25%, it math perfectly. If I don't check the forum first, and the installer assume the back is 18", then my car will have the weird looks.

So, did you also tint over the factory privacy glass? I think I may tint just the front windows in case the police gets stooopid here! I say it's stupid because the law is that you can tint up to 35% all around as long as your car didn't already come with privacy glass. Then you can only do 50% on the front. Sooooo, basically there are cars driving around with dark tints all around legally and I can't. So dumb

I was told by the dealer that the rear is 20% so it's nice to know it's not quite that dark. Can you share some pics so I can see what it looks like? Thanks!

I just got 35% tint all around, tinted over the factory tint and you can barely see into the back and the front is perfect

Yeah, go with the 35's all around. It makes the rear even darker cause of the factory and it makes the front light enough so there is enough contrast between the back and front so it doesn't look as dark

I did 20 front 20 rear and 30 back windshield 5% on pano roof with wincos tint. Paid 700 plus for it. One of the best Japanese brand tint I believe. Very cooling to the car

If you are only wanting to block the heat, adding 20% ceramic film to all of the privacy windows including the sunroof is best. 35% is legal for the front windows here in GA. I had it put on the front windows and it looks nearly as dark as the back. You can put the 20% on the windshield and it will cut the heat with very little decrease in visibility.

Tint really makes the car look good!

I do find that it dims the BSM orange icon. Wish they made it like Mercedes. RED if there is a car. Easier to see and it is not on the same color spectrum as the sun at dawn, dusk.

Could you please post some pics with 35$% all around? I'm thinking to have this done as well. Thanks!

Finally, pulled the trigger on the tint job... She goes in tomorrow. I am hesitant because of the stupid Chicago SUV tint exclusions saying only 50% in front if rears are factory tinted... but I still going with 35% ceramic all around including pano roof. Not getting the windshield done. We shall see.

I have always tinted my windows. But on my RX this time went with factory tint only. For me the front windows do not need it and I can see much better..
But like I say my 2004 RX and 2011 RX I did tint.

I never felt I needed to tint the windows in any of my previews RXs. But I feel this one needs. Especially if you have a panoramic roof. It's just too way much light and heat in the car and can't really enjoy the shade being retracted at all times.
So, I went with ceramic 35% all around. It's not super dark in front but provide adequate privacy and UV/heat protection.

The tints made my car look even more bad ***, very happy!
