Here are the part numbers I've ordered.

Here is the pic of the keys. They had no issues programming it at all. Nice and easy.

Thanks for reading! I hope this helps a lot of y'all!

Hey na1ddo, thanks for posting this! I purchased a used key with the same FCC ID. I will need to use an unlocking service to reset the key to 'virgin / new' status so I can register it. Will update if it works for me once I get around to doing it. Thanks again for your help!

I got my new remote from Scottsdale Lexus, took it to my local one and it programmed smoothly. Love the Smart card!

For all that bought the smart key, are you guys having proximity issues after new battery change? I feel like I gotta be closer to everything for the car to detect my key compared to my GSF smart key.

Thanks

I was able to register my credit card key with my RX and it was one of the first things I noticed immediately. With a regular keyfob, the vehicle would immediately recognize me when in the vicinity. With the credit card key, I literally have to put my hand in the door handle and give it a second before it unlocks.

However, the smaller form factor and ease of carrying it in my wallet, and having one less thing to think about, is totally worth it to me.

after replacing my battery with a brand new battery, i feel like the recognition is a bit faster, but it could also be a placebo effect. i tried to see if i could tell a difference between the regular fob and the smart card, but didn't notice much. Compared to when i used the card with the original battery, i felt it was a bit slower, and sometimes didnt respond right away when i started the car.

again it could be just a placebo effect from me switching the batteries, but hopefully that helps someone.

Try it at night, as you walk up to the car you'll see when the card has been detected as the door handles light up.

2017 Land Cruiser owner here, Lexus card key programmed via techstream. Card Key p/n 89904-53512 and Blank key 69515-50220. This setup works for 2016-2019 Land Cruisers and I would bet this would work for your model year RX. FCC ID did not have to match for my application.

Default Credit Card FOB?

Hey everyone-long time lurker and soon to be owner of a 2022 RX350

I recall the previous generation had the lexus credit card FOB-and learned that it wasn't created for the recent iteration

However, I did come across this: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/393846525540...sAAOSwDP5h1dLh where the seller claimed he/she was successful in programming the 2020 and 2021 iterations.

Does anyone care to share their thoughts? Have they tried this?

Did you ever figure anything out on this? I've got a 2020 RX and am wondering the same, but am coming up short on finding any answers.

It appears to be available-but not sure how successful programming will be.

Default Key Card Success on 2020 RX

So I did some more research on this, and ordered a key card for my 2020 RX 350 and can confirm success. I ended up ordering a key card with FCC ID HYQ14CBK. I decided to go with this FCC ID based on na1ddo's success above. While I'm not sure my methodology is correct, this is how I believed I had ordered the correct card key:

I looked up the Keyless Entry Module part number for my 2020 RX (899900E190). I took that part number to eBay and found a picture of the part which shows the model number is TMLF15-2, with an FCC ID of NI4TMLF15-2, which matches to the same model number/FCC ID as the 2017 RX keyless entry module that na1ddo has. I wasn't sure if mine would match or not since 2020 models and newer got a slight refresh. Based on this information I decided to give it a shot and ordered a key on eBay. I figured if it didn't end up working that seller (virginkeys) offers a 30 day return window. Programming was very easy in Techstream and took about one minute. I haven't used the card key much since programming, but I didn't have any issues with range and can unlock/lock easily with the card in my pocket.

I was initially going to purchase the key Kenvin had posted (FCC ID HYQ14CBM), and am not sure if that one will work or not. I messaged that seller (unlimitedpro13) asking to confirm if they do indeed program with the RX. I received this response: "Hello. We list our keys only from our experience. We successfully program these keys to 2020 and 2021 RX models" So it sounds like the CBM key may work, but unsure. Either way I'm happy knowing that the one I ordered is working, and thanks to na1ddo and Kenvin for posting and providing their assistance/success!

Not sure if this helps anyone, but the factory key fob that came with my RX, that FCC ID is 1551A-14FBB. It appears that the FCC IDs do not need to match in order for the key card to function.

Glad it worked out well for you!

I'm going to have to wait it out-being from Canada eBay is pretty much final sale for me-so I'll be out about $400 Canadian if it didn't work. Toronto RX dealers not too sure if it can be programmed either.

The link I posted the user replied to me saying Canadian built RX will not work-but I thought most RX350 in North America were assembled in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. Whatever-lol

My code is 1551-14FLB-don't have a clue what that even means

Kinda lame how Lexus wants to sell us crap we don't need-but people would buy and use this.

Successfully paired the card to my 19' RX 450h fsport via Techstream.
Mind sharing the full FCC for your OEM fob and smart card? I'm trying for the 2022 RX (from Canada)

Anyone find anything for the 2017? Or has it been discussed already?

I can confirm the above did not work with RX350 2022

Gonna have to wait before trying another one...perhaps down the road it will be possible
