Check with my friend's NX. No vibration at all.
Funny because I never had this problem but now I took a road trip and was trying really hard to see if I had any vibrations and now I can’t stand it. It’s most noticeable above 70MPH when lightly pressing the gas. You feel the exhaust making the side mirrors and steering wheel shake. Then you hear the drone, the entire time when your lightly pressing the gas to maintain speed over 70 MPH. I’m going to have the exhaust drone TSB done this week so hopefully that resolves it. If not I definitely will get rid of this car. I don’t know how anyone can live with that. Have you done the TSB yet?

Go drive a new RX and compare under same conditions, and you feel like vibrations, then get rid of the car. If no vibration, give the TSB a chance. Good luck.

Which RX do you have any when did you feel the drone? I tend to only notice it going 70+ and lightly pressing the gas to maintain speed. It’s really annoying.

Sorry, I should have mentioned, a '17 f-sport. It was most noticeable when lugging the engine, as an example going up a slight incline in eco mode and, as has been said many times, it was much less so in sport mode. I never heard it while cruising on the freeway at any speed. I had the drone since day one, never really bothered me that much, but then again I ride a motorcycle.
Now I just hear normal sounds, the engine and shifting.

I have a 2019 RX350 and have the drone&vibration issue. The TSB made it slightly worse. Can't believe I dropped 60K on MSRP on this piece of junk. I gave up trying to deal with the dealer. I test drove the car extensively and it didn't have a problem. The problem developed about 200 miles. Stay away from the RX. I'm staying away fro Lexus completely.

No, because my vehicle is build in 2019 April. The dealer said the vehicle already fixed this problem.
The side mirrors shake every few second. I will check if it only shake when I press the gas.
I tried a demo vehicle which is 71000 km. The side mirror shake too. Only the left side mirror's vibration is noticeable.

Your dealer sounds just like mine. It’s not L of Oakville by any chance is it?

Have you tried using top tier 93 gas yet? They accidentally put 87 in my RX the other day and it was droning and more noisy then it has ever been. Just put 93 in again and it’s like a different car. Much quieter especially at the lower RPMS. Also noted the same RX that’s in Australia or places with much higher octane, they don’t have these drone issues. I think the low octane gas is causing the engine to lug more then it would with 93. Try it and let me know

Thank you! I am in Massachusetts and the dealer says it is summer fuel, no codes came up and they said check motor/transmission mounts. The car was purchased in New Hampshire. Lexus bought it in June from a car auction,I bought it in July. They put in a fuel additive, cleaned injectors, etc..They told me to run a few tanks of gas through it. Bring it on the highway and really step on it to cleanout. I have always used premium gas(high test) fuel. It still does the same thing. The vibration and drone noise. Can be felt in the passenger seat also. Very annoying for a 2018 GX 460 with only 16K. If they cannot correct the problem, then what??? Not feeling to hopeful.

I am finding that the dealer in Massachusetts is telling me it is summer fuel and to put premium gas in which I always do and run it on the highway. After a few tanks of gas, it will be better. Not feeling hopeful. Glad I spent all the money on a newer low mileage 2018 Lexus GX 460.

What is TSB? I have vibration on one of my last lexus and it was a wheel balancing issue. Brought to a dealer that used Hunter Road Force balancing and determined 3 out of 4 tires were bad. Just to let you know the tires had less than 1000 miles on them. It did fix that problem. Wish I kept the car, I upgraded to the 2018 GX 460 w/ 18K for mileage and have the annoying seat vibration in park. Can be felt in both driver and passenger seats and dealer telling me summer gas. Run a few tanks and it will be fine... the sage continues...

Default Posting again as the 2020 is out

The big question now is can I change my muffler to get rid of the noise Perhaps use a muffler a 2015?
Since the 2020 RX350 is out does anyone if the exhaust is quieter? If so can I perhaps use those mufflers on my 2016.

Any thoughts?

Have you ever done the exhaust droning TSB? That’s most likely the noise your hearing. Also, as much as people don’t want to hear this, there is a HUGE difference in exhaust noise when I use 93 gas. There is barely any noise. I switched back to 87 just to see and the car was so loud I hated it.

I just bought a 2019 RX 350 and I have the same issues. I hate the car. I don't think the 2020 model is any different. I've been looking for aftermarket exhausts, but they don't seem to make it for the RX350 4th Gen.
