The sensitivity of the parking sensors can be adjusted in the menus. Perhaps they are simply adjusted to the least sensitive position. I believe that menu option is in the multi-information display and uses the buttons on the steering wheel to adjust. I know it is adjustable, but I not certain that I am directing you to the right place to make the adjustment. As for the engine noise, I had a 2013 RX 350, followed by a hybrid NX and now a hybrid RX - so my experience would not be relevant to that question so I will leave that for others to comment.

2016 started the new body style & thus the noise/vibration issues. I also have a 2016 RX 450h (hybrid), so the CVT doesn’t seem to suffer the same afflictions as the 350. My parking sensors have some adjustment in the onscreen menu. I run mine at full sensitivity & sometimes that’s not enough. My rear cross traffic alert is 80% worthless, so be aware that your’s may be the same. Hopefully it won’t be like mine & will be better! These are good cars overall. I’m just disappointed in mine, but it hasn’t left me walking, so there’s that. Have fun with your new RX & enjoy the forum for whatever it can help you with.

Just an fyi… it may be a good idea to file a complaint with the NHTSA as it will force Lexus to look into the issue as it appears to still be ongoing from 2016 to even in 2022 models.

I have filed mine just now regarding my 2022 RX350.

Consumers who experience a vehicle issue that could be a safety defect are encouraged to file a complaint with NHTSA. Complaints can be filed through NHTSA.gov or by calling NHTSA's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236.

Safety issue? NVH is not a safety issue, it's a poor design and or quality of material or assembly issues. Plenty of cars are far worse, the same as plenty are far better.

If you don't notice the problem, then it is not a problem (to you). If Lexus got 50K complaints about an annoying dronning noise, they would fix it.

After a short test of the damper and Uclamp placed in front of the converter, I saw a significant reduction in the dronning at 1500 RPM. Because of concerns that I mentioned in a previous post, I have removed the weight and will proceed to try and figure out if any harm can be done by placing the weight close to the flex joint.
I went to my local Lexus dealership to implement the damper fix, but it only resolved the issue by about 50%. I'm thinking about adding a damper in front of the converter, but wanted to see where you were in your journey. How have things turned out?

Default Engine buzz/vibration at 1200 rpm under moderate torque in any ggear

Hi guys I am new to this forum but I have been a member of the LS400 form for the last 20 years. Until my very nice LS was rear-ended and totaled 2 weeks ago. I now have purchased a well-equipped gx350 with navigation and a bunch of other options including 20-in wheels. The problem I am experiencing is a very distinctive buzz and accompanying vibration which is apparently coming from the engine under fairly light torque in any gear I choose. I suspect there's an engine mount issue but under heavier torque the problem is not pronounced. Have not had a chance to search for that issue but was hoping someone could give me an idea on what I'm looking at because I only have one more day to take the car back to the dealership and return it.
Would really appreciate any information that you guys are aware of and whether this is a deal-breaker or if it's fairly simple and inexpensive to remedy. It is not a rattling of sheet metal or a support brace or anything like that it is substantial enough to produce vibration along with the sound and it goes away at higher RPM or lower. Engine runs great suspension is not noisy at all but this is an issue I need to know about and you guys are all the experts in one convenient place. I will fill out my profile later but I wanted to get this out because of the time limit that I'm under. Thanks very much,
Steve

Why not take it back to the dealer and have them ride with you and point it out to them?

I experience the same droning sound and non linear acceleration on my new to me 2020 RX 350. If you watch your tach it will bounce many hundreds rpms while the transmission searches for the correct gear. From what I can glean from this forum the problem appears to be the 8 speed transmission searching for the correct gear during light acceleration..

You might get better insight if you post this in the GX forum for your model year. While many here can offer some general insight, the GX has a different drivetrain. I believe they all have the 4.7L V8 whereas the RX only has a 3.5L V6. Good luck with your decision and I hope nobody was injured when your LS was totaled.

A Lexus GX 350? Is there such a thing? Somebody correct me but I don't think there is. So many different model designations out there it can get confusing.

I am assuming OP means RX350 and the noise that is referenced is the known drone / vibration on the RXs.

Ah, you are probably right. My mistake for being too literal. The 350 designation wouldn’t have made sense for a GX anyway, as another poster offered.

It's been a while since I have visited this thread and I see there has not been any resolution to the vibration issue.

It is still very annoying and the vibration is still present and all the dealership can offer is that is just how it is and it's normal for the 2021 Rx350.
i most likely will not buy another Lexus because of this vibration. To bad because I do like the car very much.

It's bizzare how the Highanders (rentals) with the same engine does not exhibit this issue.

I am new to Lexus & I noticed the droning/vibration in the steering wheel when I picked up my used certified 2021 RX350 base model. I turned off all the lane assist & still feel it sometimes but dealer said everything is fine. I test drove a new 2023 RX from a different dealer for 15 minutes and no droning/vibration . Don't know what to do?..
