Does anyone with Japanese VIN have this vibration?

The first letter/number on the vin indicates the country of manufacturing. 2 is Canada and J is Japan.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I can confirm this. All the RX350 loaners I drove vibrate.

I read there was GOOD NEWs back in November about Lexus coming out with a fix.
But it looks like Lexus Is just giving runs around.

Lexus Is not going to fix any problem with their current sales number.
I think if they were going to fix it, it would have been the 2017 model.

Less than 1100 miles on mine, and I'm noticing the drone more and more. Just ordered the exhaust damper Walt described earlier. Hope it fixes it. Not worth waiting for Lexus to come out with something.

Is it a Canadian made or Japanese RX?

Canada, and I think I'm going to have a heck of a time ordering that damper. NLA.

I just had the opportunity to note the November sales numbers on the RX 350. The numbers have gone negative vs last year. I find the number interesting since this is a new model in a hot SUV market. Maybe the message is getting out. I sure hope so.

Common sense is not to purchase a first year vehicle of new generation. I got burned by 2014 BMW X5, 2015 Acura MDX. Want a new Audi Q7 but I will wait one year.

I tried to get the word out there by warning future buyer in the "best price on 2017 threat but it got deleted. I guess it's against the rules, just trying to save someone $50k of disappointment

I finally got a damper on my RX, I can say that the droning noise is a little better. On a scale of 1-10, it was a 9 prior to the damper, now it's a 4-5. It's more tolerable to drive but I still notice it's there. I only put on one damper for now.

Default Droning

i think Toyota is now rolling out this engine transmission to other cars...eg the Sienna. I wonder if the droning noise will be there too, or if limited to the Rx.

Wish i had read all these posts before making my 2017 RX purchase. Well I just noticed my new RX is having this issue as well and I am pretty sure the dealer will give me the same generic answer. I guess Lexus is not the same it used to be and not sure how a company that charges $50k a car can allow this kind of problem to go thru QC. I am going to tell everyone to not buy Lexus as this is just not acceptable.

I have this issue as well and will be following this thread closely. I am taking my 2016 to the dealer next week.

I just installed the damper recommended by Walt on Page 19 of this thread, and there's definitely an improvement in mine.
