2016 RX 350 Excessive noise and vibration
#406
2016 RX 350 FSport
The roughness is only apparent when accelerating from a standing stop, The 2016 RX 350 model has only been available for around 6 to 7 weeks.
Do any of the respondants currently own a 2016 model or actually driven one?
Also, another owner has posted similar concerns on another website.

No one ever wrote a repair order on my vehicle. Demonstrates how naïve I am to trust the service manager . It never entered my mind to have a service order written, and that's on me. I called the dealer to schedule an appointment. You have no idea how p****d off I am. -- THANK YOU.

Statistics based on last year model:
RX is second in owners satisfaction with 83. Audi Q7 is first with 87. So 83 owners of 100 would buy it again.
It is 3rd in 1st year reliability (first Lexus GX and second Audi Q7).
You are looking at it on a micro level one car - one owner.
Lexus takes a thousand foot view looking at overall statistics, that is why I do not think they will do something quickly or anything at all.
I said before my 330RX had same issue dealer agreed with me and did nothing about it, my wife who was main driver never new it existed. 10 years later it was sold without single problem.

I just dropped off my 2016 RX to fix the AC noise and the recent Limited Service Campaign GLL (Remedy Notice) Certain 2016 Model Year RX350 and RX450h Vehicles, Power Back Door ECU Replacement
I got a 2017 RX350 with 802 miles on it as a loaner. There is no drone at all. I did feel some vibrations/hesitation on the highway.

Part of the issue is that many dealers do not file a warranty claim about the vabration and droan issue. Because of that Lexus design does not see the number of affected vehicles. The priority to fix a problem is based on number of affected vehicles.
If you have a problem, make sure the dealer writes it up as a warranty claim, not just tell you verbally.

Get the service manager to put your complaint in writing, even if they say "it's normal". What's happening is owners are telling the service people at the dealer about the issue and they're responding by telling you that its operating normally, nothing gets documented that way.

I did what another member pointed out. Held the break reved the engine to 1500 rpms and Drone was rediculous.
I did notice that where the drone is changes depending on how warm the engine is. This is so typical of exhaust.
Why can't they just use different parts on the exhaust to solve the problem, I find it hard to believe that after a year
this hasn't been resolved. Does anyone have the best contact number to open a case with Lexus, I have just about
had it with this hole situation.
