San Antonio Lexus is like a freak’n resort, but their service sucks & their people are clueless. They seem to run through people like we run through toilet paper & that’s never a good thing. Thanks for the update!

My service advisor told me she did 3 "band-aid" fixes so far. A girl told her the drone was better but still there. A guy said he could not tell any difference. The third person never gave her any feedback.

the drone is 1 thing, the exhaust fix won't fix the tip in steering wheel vibration

I got the TSB done and the drone is 99% gone...what a difference in driving experience now.

I can still reproduce the drone but I can only hear it for a split second if the radio and AC are off. If I turn the radio to 5 or above, I can't hear it at all.

Default Lexus Corp Contact Info

Hi,

Does anyone know the best Lexus Corp contact info (phone & email) for filing issues?
I have a '16 RX350 F-Sports and it has all the issues that discussed in this forum.

Thanks.

I can feel a slight movement in the steering wheel like a tire (s) are a little out of balance. I will have Discount Tire check on the balance.
I got this "engine insulator" service done too and it helped a bit (thanks @RX3502018!). It reduced the vibration by almost half at most speeds but it's not completely gone - and that's still concerning. During take-off the rumble is more noticeable, and at 1500rpm the rumbling vibration can be felt in the throttle and on the seat itself, but not so much on the floorboard as before. The new engine mount has dampened the vibration but its still coming through from some other source into the seat. Since the service order only replaced rear engine mount, wondering if some other mount also needs to be replaced.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Wow, this topic sure has quieted down. Did everyone get the so-called fix or did you trade out of your problem cars?

They couldn’t give me an F Pace - I’ll keep my quirky, but reliable Lexus RX. That’s a shame as the F Pace is a gorgeous SUV.

Just got the TSB done by dealer and noticeable difference. I cannot hear the droning anymore.

For the longest time (I read the earlier posts in the thread but stopped following for a while) I thought it was the sound generator from the intake and read that you could swap it out but was too lazy to do it. Glad I didnt do it as I still like the sound when i punch the throttle

Thanks for the post. Like you, I have stopped following this thread for a while. I'm from Ontario too.

Would you mind sharing what was done on your RX? I have an appt tomorrow for my 2017 RX Fsport. My car has the same droning noise since new. Which dealership applied the TSB? I remember the last time I brought it up with the service dept, they seem to play dumb and told the the same thing as they tell everyone... IT IS NORMAL!!

Thanks.

I got mine done at Northwest Lexus in Brampton. They actually changed it for me without me asking. On the work order it says

"Install new exhaust midpipe as per TSB5050"

I dropped off my 2016 rx. Will post the result when I get it back. But I must say I got a loaner 2018 model and it is really without any hesitation or drone/ vibration.
