Default Is F-sport version is significantly louder?

First, Happy new year!

I like the new RX and I am having a hard time to decide which version to go.
I Like AVS, seat and grill of the F-sport version, but not a big fan of so called sporty sound as I like quiet acceleration. so, I am worrying about the noise level.
But, I can not find one in the near-by dealers to test drive myself.
For guys who has driven the F-sports, how do you think?

Some extra questions:

1) is 450h F-sport significantly quieter?

2) is it possible to turn off the sound generator?
I am not sure the sound generator is electric (like NX Fsport) or mechanical located on the intake (like IS Fsport). If it is mechanical, I am wondering whether it is possible to replace the intake (with sound generator) with the normal 450h's intake without sound generator.

Thanks

Sound generator not present in the h version and is significantly quieter.

Have you tested drive a 450h F sport yet?

Nope. Just basing it on reviews (all say the same thing) and lexus website. I know I found it there that the sound generator is only on the 350 F.

Oh. can you tell me the source of those reviews saying that there is no sound generator for 450h Fsport? Thanks.

Im super biased about exhausts. The F sport exhaust note I experienced on a recent test drive was not loud by any means. This aint no BMW throaty note. And between the diff modes, the suspension was more promient then the exhaust note changing

Can't find the sources right now but here is another one from an official lexus website in Malaysia. Scroll down.

Regular and F Sport RX's are the same mechanically (engine, tranny, exhaust, sound deadening materials, 20" tires, etc) with the exception of a firmer suspension. So no differences in NVH unless the tires are really noisy versus another brand equipped.

Between the 450h and 350, from past RX experience, the h is quieter only when running on battery power.

I see. But it seems that lexus does not sell 450h Fsport in Malaysia. So it is safe to say 350 Fsport only.

But anyway, I think hybrid + sound generator is a very weird combination because hybrid = quiet and sound generator = loud. I hope lexus does not combine these two.

F Sport RX does have a sound generator on the engine intake.

Based on my experience, 2016 450h is quieter than 350. Both of them are much quieter than the 2015 450h.

True about the mechanical intake sound generator on the 350 F Sport. But like the IS F Sport, it only is noticeable under harder acceleration and above a certain RPM. For the IS, it's over 3500 rpm. In normal 99% daily driving, the power band is below 3k rpm which would make the RX 350 F Sport and regular RX 350 sound the same.

http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/lexus+2016+rx+redefines+segment+short.htm

Here is another press release only mentioning sound generator for the 350 F sport. Does not mention it for the 450h.

Also the sound generator is an add on piece. The regular 350 does not have it.

On the other hand I've also found conflicting info. So the only way to find out is to look at the engine itself.

There are reviews which say the 450 is quieter but I've seen so many I can't remember which is which. Lol.
