I’m running an Uppababy Mesa infant seat and until I read this thread I used both latch and belt. Have another on the way and I would have done the same so thanks for the tip!

can an adult still seat in the back with two baby seat? (one rear facing) other toddler 2+ (forward) thanks in advance

It depends on your baby seats. I used 2 Britax seats and was able to seat an adult.

We also have two Britax seats. My wife could fit in the center seat between our two car seats with a seat belt on, but no away I could do it for more than a ride around the block.
