Lexus Technical Service Bulletin number L-SB-0109-17 is now available from Lexus. I had it uploaded into my 2016 RX350's computer today and the transmission hesitation is now gone and the shifting is so much smoother. The 8 speed now shifts like it should have from the beginning. The senior Tech at my local dealer said it was finally approved by the EPA this week.

New here to Lexus forums. Long time Acura guy.
Always find such great benefit with user communities and hope this group can help me out.
I have a 2016 RX350...purchased about a year ago now.
I seem to experience something when I am undergoing simple steady acceleration in the vehicle. At first I suspected the transmission was to blame...and this still may be the case. If I were to describe it however...the experience feels much like a fuel issue where there feels like a misfiring or a bad cylinder/injector that gives some subtle roughness to the acceleration experience.
It's not jarring...it's not jerking...it's just not smooth.
At my 10K service, I asked them to look into the transmission...they came back with an all clear. Said it was performing as it should. But in my loaner car...I didn't experience the same effect.
I have experienced this in all drive modes (eco, normal, sport). And it seems to be the most pronounced with simple basic average acceleration. If I floor it...I don't notice it.
I use regular gas...haven't tried a tank of premium.
Im curious if anyone else has the same issue...and if they resolved it.
Again...it's subtle...but I've driven luxury cars and even non-luxury cars that deliver a smooth acceleration without this issue.
My throghts are moving toward a faulty fuel mixture sensor? Or air sensor?
Thanks all.

I don't have any issues with my SUV, but maybe you're experiencing a transmission issue that was recently resolved? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ing-issue.html

nas2344; my RX, when driving in the Normal mode, would hesitate slightly from a stop when you applied the accelerator and at certain speeds it seemed confused as to what gear to be in. Putting the RX into Sport mode seemed to make a difference but it ran at higher RPMs and the gas milage suffered as a result. Now all is well in the Normal setting.

Larry, sorry you're having problems. Have to point out the 2015 is six speed while your 2016 is eight. From my experience the eight speed in the 3RX F-Sport had hesitation too. There's a thread about it in the forum. But I didn't feel it in a 4RX F-Sport I recently test drove. If anything I think Lexus improved the transmission. And I'm supersensitive to these things coming from a hybrid.
How does your RX drive in other modes? And what did the dealer do to determine your RX drives 'as it should'? Maybe a drive with a tech or service manager is in order. And I know this is probably not what you want to hear but If you want zero hesitation or shifting, then RX450h is the way to go.
Good luck and please keep us posted.

I made an appointment for Monday morning and am asking they complete the TSB. Will report back once I have it completed. Also, if someone could post the TSB here I would LOVE to bring it with me.
