I think it varies by year. For my 2016 I’m forced to pay for safety connect also for a total of $16 a month minimum. I think other years could maybe do just the $8 for remote capabilities.

Vehicle has to be locked first. Two quick taps on the lock button and then a long 2-3 second third press. Lights will blink first and then start.

Default Does all 2016 rx has remote start installed?
I just bought a used rx 2016 base
just wonder if all the 16+ has remote start installed?

Yes, as of the 2016 Model year all Lexus Models (except a base CT) have Enform Remote capability. You will need to purchase a subscription however.

Wait....seriously? I have the 2016 RX executive, you are saying I have the remote start capability? That sales rep forgot this pitch.

And I believe with a 2016 the packages are bundled, safety connect + remote.

I don't think it's available in Canada. They are just now starting to add it there.

Not in Canada, I bought a third party installed on mine.
We don't have Enform in Canada and they started to introduce it on a few models in 2018, but not the RX flagship.

Correct. I had to buy a remote start and have it installed. Enform is not available in Canada. buggers.....

This is how I understand it as well. A smart move by Lexus as I will pay the $80 a year for the remote start, etc. I would never pay the $240.$80 is reasonable since they throw the others in free.

It is too bad that Lexus doesn't seem to be inclined to use the same pricing for pre-2018 vehicles.

For $80/year, I would likely renew the subscription for my 2017 ES even though I only very rarely am inclined to use the remote start or any of the other Enform services. But, with such infrequent use, I can't justify a cost of $240/year to renew the subscription.
