2017 - Subscription expired many many many moons ago. Remote start via key fob still working.

Use of the app features is what ends when your subscription ends. Such as the ability to start your vehicle from your office or across the country if you so desired. You don’t lose the ability to start it using the fob provided you are still n it’s range.

I don't have the subscription anymore, so can I start my RX remotely and how can I do that?

I'm not sure I understand your question. If your asking can you start your RX from the keyfob after subscription, then yes. It was discussed in the posts above, just scroll up.

My 2018 will not start with the remote. I don't understand why some of you can start and others can't. Wish mine would work!

I just got an email from Lexus Drivers, they say that the only way you can remote start your RX is to have a subscription to the Safety Connect (SOS). I do not have that and that's why it won't start with the remote. So the rest of you guys who do start with the remote, you have a subscription for Safety Connect.
Hope this clears things up.

My 2017 RX will not start with the remote. My subscription lapsed 2 years ago. It would be great if Lexus would activate this as a customer benefit for taking away the full Lexus Enform service

As stock and investment holders everyone wants corporations to gouge customers and make lots of money. As customers of the same companies we want them to not gouge us... 😀😀😀

It's just one of those things. My 19 ES starts with the fob every time. My wife's 17 RX never works.

Wife's 19 RAV4 stopped both app and fob remote start on the same day the subscription ends. Had to use Techstream to re-enable the remote start via fob. This is when I realized it can also be done in a Lexus. Pure luck perhaps.

Mike my 2018 takes a surprisingly long hold on that third press of the lock button -- like 15 seconds or more. Eventually the lights flash, and if I keep holding, the car starts. But it is way longer than you would expect. I have never paid a nickel for the Enform subscription so it expired a year after I bought the car.
