I just installed the lighted door sills, and five minutes per side is quite generous! It is as easy as everyone has described, that's for sure. I ordered from MyLparts, and with the CL discount was only $80.63 delivered.

Like some others have mentioned, the dark color of the main section is slightly lighter compared to the non-lighted door sill and other original factory panels, but my bet is that I'll be the only one to notice a difference, most likely only during very bright daylight conditions.

Love your side step. How do you like it? I am thinking about getting one for my car. Any pros or cons? Did you install it?

If you are talking about the regular illuminated sills then no. Literally remove old sill and the power connections are already there and powered. Plug in new ones and reset on sill. This is a one minute job per side. I got mine for about $85 for the pair including shipping and tax, but the place sucked for customer service when they sent the wrong part....I posted above somewhere. Super easy job and I like them a lot.

btw, some people are reporting that color match is a problem. Mine are black and a perfect match, so just be aware of that.

Thanks, our RX doesn't have illuminated sills so it sounds like I'll need to tap for power.

Was it not an option in 2019? I did not know that. Mine is a 2020 that was prewired.

Good luck!

The illuminated sills were prewired in my 2013 and my 2021. I cannot imagine that it wouldn't be the same for the 2019

Did mines today. 5 min install like others said. Haven’t noticed anything staying on or coming on after shutting the suv off. Love this little mod!

They look pretty nice and are something I thought about getting after reading the posts. However, there apparently has been a dramatic price increase based on what they cost in the posts and what they cost now.

Why arent these illuminated door sills available on the rear doors as well? instead we are left with a blank metal piece that doesn't even say LEXUS on it (at least thats how mine looks).

If you're serious about getting them, just look a little bit harder. A quick Google search and I found 3-4 dealership sites or Lexus OEM retailers selling it at the same price point i paid about 2 months ago (~$75 USD). Good luck!

Unfortunately those all are the beige ones. The black ones are all at the $200+ range, whereas it seems the beige ones are being blown out at multiple OEM dealer sites for like $70ish.
