I was paying $2200 in NJ for 2008 RX400H and 2012 RX350 with NJ Manufacturers. Then at renewal time, price dropped to $1200. Went up to $1260 when RX400H replaced by 2016 RX350. I have gotten quotes from two other companies (State Farm and AAA) for about $2200. Unless you are very young, live in a really bad neighborhood (with high thefts) or have a bad record or all three, $3600 a year for one car seems very high.

Credit score is also factored into the rates in many states. There is a correlation in that the higher the credit score, the fewer the claims.

Yep, they're the best. My hubby is a retired officer.

New to Arizona and new 2016 at the same time, so did some shopping for new auto insurance.
Best auto full coverage price was Farmers $357 for 6 months.
Next best was Costco (Ameriprise) $395 for 6 months.
I did comparisons apples to apples, but Farmers price so good I lowered the deductibles to $100 comprehensive and $500 collision, or would have been even cheaper.

As everyone mentioned, address, age and driving record most important, but our new 2016 got us some nice discounts with all the safety features. Even being a hybrid helped. Guess they think we baby the gas pedal to maximize gas mileage.
