@A440 I'm not a lexus engineer so I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's more a safety thing. You really shouldn't be "driving" forward looking thru a camera. It turns off automatically at a certain speed anyway, and for its purpose (to make sure you're not smacking into your garage wall or some other structure while pulling in forward) it serves the purpose well. That said, I've seen this same behavior on my own, as well as every loaner that had the panoramic view system. It's also that way in the cars, so its not limited to our RX. Perhaps others can chime in, but since I'm so used to it I don't even notice it anymore personally.
