Default Headlight Choices

What headlights come standard on the RX and what is available as an option? My wife's 2015 RX has the Xenon headlights that come with the comfort package. How do the standard headlights on the new RX compare to this?

The standard headlights are bi-LED units. These are paired with LED foglamps.

The optional/premium headlights are the triple-L LED units. These come with headlight washers, dynamic auto leveling, and LED cornering lights.

My father has the standard bi-LED headlights on his RX and they are plenty bright.

You can also get the headlight washers, along with Adaptive Front Lighting System, with the bi-LED headlights. They come with the $1050 (not the $635) Lexus Safety System+ package. I have it on mine. Also, the Intelligent high beams come with both the Safety System Plus packages.

Likely, but it would be very expensive.

Some people on the GS forum were wondering the same thing...somebody asked a dealer and they quoted $6K.

they both are probably very bright, but the premium triple led has auto leveling which could be safer under certain circumstances... not to mention they look 10x better than the standard ones

The triple LEDs came with my 4RX and was a little skeptical but they prove to be very effective at night, especially on high beam.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but it seems like most cars with the triple-L headlights are either F-sport or equipped with the luxury package.
