LED headlights last a very, very long time. Probably longer than you will keep the car. I wouldn't worry about it. They are quite expensive to replace if damaged in an accident.

According to Lexus tthe LEDS have a 50,000 hour lifespan. If you turn them on 24 hours a day seven days a week they will last 5.7 years. According to Cree LED manufacturing company, at 50,000 hours it doesn't burn out. The output is 80% which is considered the useful life span of the LED. The 80% mark covers all LEDs since it is the universal gauge of life expectancy for all LED lights.

As you can see these lights will outlast your car. 8 hours use every day would be 17.1 years.

Well, the LED headlights in my 450h are still fine after six years. In fact I haven't had to replace any headlight bulbs in the RXs including halogen and HID.

The LEDs going are not what you should be worried about, it's the electronics controlling them...

I doubt I will own my 4RX past the warranty so I could care less and choose to just enjoy the vehicle. I am betting even the electronics will hold out just fine.

There are no fancy electronics that control LEDs. It is either on or off.
LEDs are superior when it comes to vibration and shock. LEDs are actually the most reliable part of the entire car.

Many cars are coming with LED headlights now. Costs I wouldn't worry for the long run life expectancy
