Default Front Grill/Bumper Protection (merged threads)

Hi all,

This is my first RX350 F sport and I wanted to protect the front grill. Since I live in NY, I am afraid someone will back in and brake it. Has anyone installed one of the below? Does it looks or works fine? Thanks.

Is it that common for New York drivers to hit your vehicle? I would assume this is done mostly while parking?

This is my 4th new car and I expect to be hit every other week while parking in the street. In my previous cars, they just hit my bumpers, so I don't care too much. But, this front grill may broke if it got hit.

Pretty common in urban cities with tight parking.
Never seen these before.

I assume you have tried a google image search already?

This one may compliment the vehicle a bit better.

Just a fact of life when the cars per square block is so high.

Every major metropolitan across the country(world) has this issues in their downtown (most dense) areas.

Since the front plate is mounted in the middle of the grille, would these products posted really protect anything besides light scratches. I'm pretty sure any pressure caused by another car will still break the grille, and these products make it more likely for someone to do it.

Maybe, then maybe not. Watch at 3:11 and tell me what you think.
Now imagine with the bumper guard above.

Very interesting. So OP shouldn't be worried about light bumps/taps from people parking? That seemed like a pretty hard impact with little to no damage...but who knows whether a few clips were broken or not.
