The RX 350 does not have the plastic panel so no cutting is involved. The only alteration may be that the exhaust heat shield needs to be bent slightly to clear the hitch. This is something easily done by hand.

Just finished the install of the Curt receiver on my 2017 RX. Piece of cake! 20 minutes and no sweat with help from my neighbor. Got the "Lexus" receiver plug from Amazon for the finishing touch. Very pleased!

Anyone seen a Reese hitch for the RX?

Have an appointment for next Wednesday for my 2017 450h to get it's hitch installed. The Lexus service manager said that they have it done off sight and use Reese parts who he claims makes the hitches for Lexus. Do not know about that but it will be interesting to see what it looks like. The hitch is for both my bike rack and jet ski which I am really wanting to get back on the water next weekend. It is one of the perks to living in Florida.

I found this hitch cover on autothing.com...I had to really file a lot of sharp edges, but its all stainless steel.

I guess it fits since one of our member already installed onto his F Sport 450h. $135.24 is the cheapest I've found today.

Anyone have issues with a hitch rack installed and the backup sensors going off?

Yes. The sensors must be turned off as they can't distinguish if there is a car, a pole or a bike rack behind you. It would also be the same as towing any kind of trailer. The sensors sense something behind you & are constantly alarming.

I just installed the Curt on my 17RX350 F-Sport. It took me an hour, most of the time it was me cursing as I couldn't find my socket extender. Once I positioned the hitch in place, I used a jack-stand to hold one side of the hitch as I bolted the other side. I also used threadlocker and a torque wrench. One piece of advice, if you don't have upper body strength, get a friend to help - benching this heavy thing while maneuvering it inside is not easy. The hitch looks great!

The sport functions still work with the hitch? I heard rumors the sport suspension is disabled with a hitch. Thanks.

Absolutely nothing changes. Go your RX right now, and look underneath the rear. You will get it right away that absolutely nothing changes, Curt's hitch is just a bolt on to the existing 3 bolt holes per side.

EDIT: See installation paperwork https://assets.curtmfg.com/masterlib..._13272_INS.pdf

I totally agree with the praise of the Curt 13272 hitch. The installation involves removing the tow ring and 5 caps from the frame. The mounting points are already threaded. This is a 30 minute job. I could repeat the task in 10-15 minutes. Some people have had issues threading the far forward bolts. This is caused by overspray of the holes. Clear the threads with the OEM bolts before mounting the receiver.
