Depends on multiple factors.

1) Are you buying an build thats uncommon on dealer lots? If yes, hard to then I`d say pick up a 16 while the deals are there to be had (also if your in a location where its hard to get anything below invoice. Seeing how your in MD, it should not be too hard to be aggressive)

1a) If your gonna snag a special order, go get a 17.

2) From there, if you model is common, deals are easy to get, then I`d wait till the 17s are on the lot. Compare, see if any known issues from the other thread are corrected and make your decision.

I'm looking at the ~$48k-51k (moreso $48k since I don't really need the navigation that bumps it up to $51k) models that seem pretty common and there were price promise offers on Edmunds for $6800-7700 off from Maryland dealers at the end of last month (Not sure if that's as good as it is going to get?). It seemed like an end of the month push to get more sales since the price promise discount dropped back down to around $3k now. If I can get about 4-5k off of a 2017 with the LSS+ included later this year I'd probably go that route since its about a wash factoring in depreciation (if $7k is the most they will take off on a 2016). Sound about right?

I'm looking for Atomic Silver, one dealer told me that color was going to be added to the 2017 pallet, what's your source?

Once the official announcement is made, Lexus usually posts all of the specs in a press release. That information includes the final list of available colors and options. The 2016 RX press release was on 8 September 2015.

Default Any New Features on the 2017 RX-350?

I am about to order a 2017 from my dealer. I am sure most changes from 2016 will be minor and cosmetic. But has anyone heard or seen what changes have been made, and especially if there are any substantive changes or new options made available?

Have you had a look at this thread yet? It has some good posts about your question so far.

Thanks, yes I saw that thread (I was even a contributor a while back). Just hoping someone has more recently heard something official about the 2017.

Car and Driver noted that the F Sport 350 will be available in FWD for '17, but didn't note any other changes.

That's good to know, I am making contact with dealers now that will offer the Costco discount, 1k under dealer invoice.

Great news! The 2017 Lexus RX, GX and LX have all started production this month and should arrive at dealerships in September. Only updates include the addition of Atomic Silver (gorgeous!) and Safety System+ being a standard/base model feature.
