I cannot see that my exact problem has been discussed so I wanted to throw it out here.

I have the new honeycomb style grill of the 2020/21 non-FSport model. The bracket fits nicely into the grill, but it will NOT align with the dimples that mark where the self tapping screws are supposed to go. Because of the shape of the honeycomb, the bracket needs to attach either a good inch to the left or an inch to the right of center, and in either case the holes are also off by at least 3/4 of an inch. The bracket just doesn’t center on the honeycomb grill. It drives me crazy that I have to install the bracket at all, but it will be even worse if it can’t be centered under the logo. Anyone have any guidance? For those of you with dealer installed brackets on a 2020 or 2021, is your bracket centered beneath the logo or is it slightly off-center. Or am I just a few degrees off center ...

Thanks!
Ok, I was a dingbat. Problem solved. As it turns out, if you have it positioned correctly, it fits just fine. The key was raising it up a row. I was trying to align the dimples with the screw holes for the plate. When it is aligned with the screw holes for the bracket it magically lines right up. Now about those three hours I spent at the DMV...

Default 2022 Front License Plate Bracket?

Couldn't find in a search: Looks like I'm the only one who bought a used RX (2022 non-Fsport) that didn't come with a front license frame bracket (?).

From Lexus - the part is $100. Amazon has universal brackets for $10.

Has anyone had any experience with any of these or others? (good or bad)

I'm in a state that requires front license plates -

Thanks

Don't know about CA, but in NY, dealer can register the car with the plates on it.

If you look closely, the front grill has places where two detents are molded in the plastic which signal where the two screws go. You will need to drill small holes to allow for the screws. I recommend buying stainless steel screws which will keep the license plate and the holder in place.

I live in a state that doesn’t require front plates but all my Lexus have still come with a bracket so be sure to check all the storage areas to make sure there isn’t one stuck in a cubby or with the spare etc.

You might want to check ebay. I saw a few holders for the RX for sale, pre-owned. Better than paying the dealer big $$$.

I did a 2nd check, and the bracket is nowhere. No surprise because the users manual is missing too. The last owner must have tossed both. Ugh!

I told the salesman he owes me a bracket, and he agreed. They are going to take one out of another lexus and give it to me. So someone else will miss the bracket instead of me!

Your dealer also owes you an owners manual!

Make sure the owner's manual is in the hidden compartment under the arm rest. That is where we keep ours.

Good thought. I didn't know that compartment was there. Unfortunately though there was no manual in there. And the (Audi) dealer is giving up trying to get it from the previous owner (who is not responding to their calls). I'll have to buy one off of ebay.

I'm still badgering them for a license plate bracket - if I hear nothing by tomorrow I'll get a universal bracket off Amazon, and then write the state's consumer board stating that the Audi dealer is selling cars in CA but aren't abiding by CA laws. A minor thing, but it annoys me because in all the paperwork my wife signed, one of those papers was a statement saying 'we acknowledge that they are providing a front license plate bracket as required by CA Law' - except that they DIDN'T.

I got an OEM one on ebay. Might be worth a look before you get a universal one.

Thanks for the tip. For some reason I wasn't thinking I could find a license plate bracket on ebay, but sure enough they are there, at 1/2 the cost at lexus, for the same part. I put it on today.

Default HELP! 2022 RX350 F Sport Front license plate bracket

I am having difficulty finding bracket fitment for my 2022 RX350 F Sport. I am getting conflicting information from dealers and the usual OEM part websites. The websites don't really show an image of the brackets, so after buying two that do not fit, I figured I would ask the masses. If anyone has had success with an aftermarket bracket, I would be interested in that as well. Thanks for the help!

LICENSE PLATE BRACKET (FRONT)

Part Number: 521140E180

No experience with after market. This is what you need from dealer.

Good Luck

I left it off. I think the grill looks better without it
