Default 4th gen vs. 3 gen WeatherTec cargo mat

I know there is a slight difference in cargo sizes between my 2011RX and the 2016 RX I have on order. Has anyway used their 3rd gen WeatherTec cargo mat on their new RX? My mat looks like new ...the color is perfect...and I certainly won't get a dime more for my trade in. Anyone with first hand knowledge?

Seeing all the changes on the 4RX, I would be surprised if the 3rd gen would fit the 4RX.

A 2010-2012 three fits 2016 four. Will take photo of slight difference and post later.

The mat I moved from a 2010-2012 is a very close fit. The floor of the cargo area seems a little higher. So the mat sticks up at the weather strip area, so loading items you must lift them a bit to prevent catching the mat.

The cargo area is a bit longer, perhaps an inch, front to back. So the mat is slid rearward to keep it tight to the weather strip. The inch gap in the front is not noticeable.

The cargo area between the wheel wells right to left is also slightly larger, the mat fits fine.

Behind the wheel wells is a bit narrower and shaped differently. This is where it's noticeable it doesn't fit perfectly.

All the notches in the edges of the mat match with the cargo hooks along the sidewalks just fine, none are covered up.

Although not a perfect fit, I prefer using this mat rather than the all-weather mat that came with the car. I prefer to keep the Lexus branded mat in mint condition in storage in the house, so it's in perfect condition when I trade the car.

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo.

I just purchased a 2016 yesterday and moved my mats from the 2013 and it looks about like that. Just slightly narrower in at the very rear, but acceptable.

I am using the Lexus mat from my previous NX200t. LOL. It actually fits OK.

For the 2016 RX, there were at least 3-4 different versions of Lexus OEM Floormats floating around. So, be sure to look at pictures of what you're getting so you aren't surprised...
