speaking of tires, i did a search on Tirerack for the OEM 20" tire size which is 235/55R20

Only 11 tires total came up. Not too much to choose from...

My experience with Michelin tires has been positive on tread life, so don't worry as long as you rotate them regularly.
Now that I re-read the somewhat generic Michelin warranty booklet, it does appear that the section on "Self-Supporting Tires" is meant for "IF YOU PURCHASED self-supporting tires"...but not that "Your specific car definitely comes with self-supporting tires". So yea, I got it wrong and these are regular tires. Thanks for the correction. Once I thought I was wrong, but it turns out I was mistaken

Thanks all for your help on this thread. It appears The Michelin OEM tires (I know you can get it with Bridgestones too) DO come with just 9/32nds but that there IS a 60K treadwear warranty like with many tires that have deeper starting tread. And that the tires are regular tires, not "run flat' or anything like them. So I got the 9/32nds right but everything else wrong. Good thing I'm on here to get the correct info!

Just in case you were wondering, I've had the Premiers on my 450h since November. About 2.5K on them so far. There hasn't been a great amount of snow this winter to try them out. But during the storm a few weeks back that dumped a few inches, they faired well. And I do looong, twisty hills.

The big claim to fame with the Premiers, grip isn't compromised as it wears. So hopefully you'll be able to get the treadwear warranty. Michelins are top rated in the 3RX forum among the OE brands.
